That would have been a great prop bet.

Hmm. Like when A-Rod opted out during the clinching game of the 2013 World Series. I can see it.

This piece on Radio Row for the Super Bowl is great.
(And if you're a pessimist, might make you sick to your stomach that America's number one export these days is marketing and bullshit.)

Re: The 54th Super Bowl
Could Tom Brady's cryptic tweet have been a tribute to Kobe Bryant?
From the hard hitting journalists at ESPN.
From the hard hitting journalists at ESPN.
Brady, of course, could have corrected it all quickly on Thursday with a simple amendment to the post. He didn't, which means speculation will continue to swirl.
But I have a hard time believing that Brady, on the Thursday before the Super Bowl, would want to shift the focus on to himself. That runs counter to what I believe are the core beliefs of the quarterback and person I've covered the past 20 years.

Re: The 54th Super Bowl
I'm really looking forward to Sunday's game because it's the first Superbowl in a long time where I actually like both teams.* I wouldn't really call myself a 49ers fan anymore, but they were my favorite team when I actually lived and died and with NFL games. (I almost got assaulted in a bar in upstate NY when they pulled off that massive playoff comeback against the Giants in 2003 -- good times.) And Mahomes is probably my favorite player to watch now.
*Last one that comes to mind is Superbowl XXXI. I actually liked the Patriots before Belichick turned them into a soulless death machine, and also was a fan of Favre before he turned into an aging drama queen.

I like Mike Reiss. Been reading him for quite a long time. He was very, very fair when on the Pats beat for the Boston Globe.Pruitt wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 6:19 pm Could Tom Brady's cryptic tweet have been a tribute to Kobe Bryant?

That being said, this was a post on the Patriots subreddit on the same day. Sure, parallel thoughts can exist and all that, but it's a hokey idea in the first place. Brady already made a post on social media for Kobe.
Doing this photo, with no words just means nothing. It's a post on a social media page. People are spinning themselves up over nothing.

There is a plane with a "re-elect Trump" banner flying overhead, so America has already lost today.

Two planes (keep America great, text trump to whatever). And I've now heard the "Tomahawk Chop" emanating from the stadium PA twice, in case you're wondering.DSafetyGuy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 2:38 pm There is a plane with a "re-elect Trump" banner flying overhead, so America has already lost today.

Lynch should fire Shanahan for that horrible clock mismanagement at the of the first half. They could have sealed the game at that point.
