I don't have a "bucket list," but if I did, a trip to Rio's Sambadrome during Carnival would be near the top.

I'm glad you said that first because I thought it looked pretty great, too. But the kids and the reddits these days mock EVERYTHING and I wasn't sure if I was missing something.

Oh no. That is by far one of the most mesmerizing sandwiches I've ever seen. There's a reason for all the upvotes and gilding on that subreddit.

I was hiking in Costa Rica when I saw what I thought was a hummingbird coming at me, although moving much too slowly. It turned out to be a giant wasp and I watched it as it landed and started inspecting these large holes in a mud bank. Did some research and it turned out to be a tarantula hawk — it hunts tarantulas, stuns them with a sting, and then lays its eggs in them. The larvae then eat the tarantula slowly from the inside out, methodically to keep it alive as long as possible. (not my pic)

I have a tennis racket bug zapper but those things would probably laugh at it.

This crazy white person decided to sting himself with one.
Also, there appear to be YouTube videos of these things going after tarantulas.

Merriam-Webster dictionary, http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/peruse" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , first entry for "peruse": to look at or read (something) in an informal or relaxed way.
Nauseous, that thing says, means "to cause nausea". Never mind that "nauseous" is an adjective and not a verb. Ugh.
"Of great size" is perfectly acceptable usage of "enormity" and, I might add, infinitely more common that the archaic use "extreme evil".
Ridiculous list. Probably getting passed around by the millions. Besides, those are hardly the "top ten". The top ones are idiot variants of you're/your/your's/yours, irregardless, principle/principal, affect/effect, their/there/they're, lie/lay, "I could care less", foilage, expresso . . .
People who know enough English to use words such as compelled and refute tend to use them correctly.
TAKE A SUCK OF THAT.

I'm not ragging on Prince, and I like that movie a lot. But, having said all that, I think the insertion of that song into the movie (on Joker's boom box) seemed an unnecessary, forced shoehorn into the movie.DSafetyGuy wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 8:55 amI watched that movie recently and it's still really good.

"Batdance" isn't even in the movie. "Partyman" is the song played in the art museum scene with the boom box.sancarlos wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 2:02 pmI'm not ragging on Prince, and I like that movie a lot.
