I also want to be clear that if I felt like it, I could absolutely put on a jacket and sign some blank pieces of paper with a sharpie.

Thanks - I should be fine but I'm just hoping I didn't murder that old lady that I caused an accident with. That's my real fear right now.

Either way, if you think you might have it, assume for now that you do. Isolate and rest. Unless you have an underlying medical condition, you should be fine.
Rass, is getting tested is a big priority? Unless there’s a need for contact tracing, maybe that could wait a few days?

Did you kiss her? Tongue?
I think if you just interacted with her outside for a brief time, there is a very minimal risk of transmission.

I can't decide if this means In Florida you have to tongue kiss people you get in fender benders with or that it wasn't a brief time.govmentchedda wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 3:09 pmNever got in an accident in Florida, have you Steve?Steve of phpBB wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 2:35 pmDid you kiss her? Damn, sorry GPJ. Of course, it does sound like you took some chances and lost. Hope you don't develop worse symptoms.

Re: Not so funny real life Capt Trips thread
Oh no doubt. I mean I didn't expect anything even remotely like that and I had driven 40 minutes to get there so I wasn't about to leave but I am an adult and I could have.

Think I mentioned my best friend is recovering from his case of COVID and two weeks later half of his face is still paralyzed from the nerves in his neck being attacked by the virus. It should clear up with time, but this isn't just the sniffles for a week. This is some serious shit.

Negative. The stuff that goes thru your head while waiting for the results is not fun, but I definitely feel for you guys and everyone else who went the the actual virus.

I guess he's 'golfed', but has he been seen in public in the last week? Not that he's on his deathbed or anything, but I wouldn't be certain he's not experiencing effects.sancarlos wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 1:56 pmGoddamit, and Trump seems fine. Late, in fact. Ceremony was supposed to start at 11:11 because of the historical significance of the time of the armistice.

Happy to hear that, but I'd suggest another test in a few days. Been hearing several people who tested negative then later tested positive.

No clue. I was with three people - one of whom had it a few months ago and the others who didn't catch it (or at least it appears that they haven't). I mean it could have been some other time but I doubt it.Shirley wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 11:22 amYeah, that makes sense. Do you know how many folks at this gathering caught it?

Re: Not so funny real life Capt Trips thread
Potentially misleading pic given its Staten Island. He might have honestly forgotten his mask this AM and only rejected that one because it was from a black dude.
Re: Not so funny real life Capt Trips thread
I had zoomed in to try to get a read on the maskless dude's shirt and just now noticed the guy in shorts with his clubs in the background.

Positive test rate of 4.8 percent?
We're at over 20 percent out here - and that's for the rolling 7-day average.

My lone remaining friend from high school tested positive (he works as the IT guy for a school district, so that should be super-fun for everyone involved). His family (wife and four kids) gets to join him in quarantine for three weeks.

Esmerelda County, NV (population 826) just reported its first COVID case, meaning that Loving County, TX (pop. 134) is the last county in America to not report one.
