I remember what's it's like when baseball's only fun when you're winning a series in May and you're way too concerned about the OBP of a former MVP that's never been on my team. I'm sure the Yankees will figure out another better way to cheat soon enough. Keep your head up, D!

I can't fathom a more annoying pairing of games than Caps fans celebrating Wilson's cheapshots into Astros fans celebrating a tainted title. Maybe Villanova can somehow play La Salle and every point they win by is a million from our endowment to theirs or something.

“So when he’s running from third base to home plate, I’m the guy up front. The first one waiting for him. He’s like, ‘don’t take my shirt off.’ The second reason – he doesn’t want me to talk about this but I’m going to say it, is because he’s got an unfinished tattoo on his collarbone, that honestly looked terrible. It was a bad tattoo and he didn’t want nobody to see it. He didn’t want to show it at all.

So, one, he didn’t want to take his shirt off because his wife had told my wife earlier in the year for me to not to do that. So he was telling me not to do it. And, number two, he had an unfinished tattoo that looked kinda bad, that he didn’t want people to see and people to talk about. That was the reason.”

You're angry with the Astros. You're hurt. I get it. Let it out. Or maybe that's what you're doing with all the Altuve p0rn?

Yeah, I'm angry they didn't keep Greinke in the game in 2019. I should be celebrating two World Series championships!

LOL at a Yankee fan calling me angry after their behavior these games.

Imagine hitting .331 in your first 10 seasons and still not finishing your career over .300. Baseball sucks.
Lots of guys tail off starting in their mid-30s.

(Never hit over .285, no OBP over .343 with Anaheim. Even the most cynical projection when he signed wouldn't have been that awful.)
Averaged 7.87 WAR in St. Louis and 1.28 WAR in Anaheim.

You know how they say, "If so and so retired today, he'd be in the Hall of Fame?" This might put that statement to the test, although he probably still gets in first ballot.

Unless he gets busted for PEDs, he'll top 98 percent first ballot.

Absolutely but his STL and LAA splits are just crazy, almost exactly half his career. Batting in the American League should be easier!

Miley's throwing a no-hitter after 8 but it's 0-0. If the Reds don't score in the top of the 9th, any point sending Miley out again? He's at 106 pitches.
I wouldn't. I wouldn't want him to take the L after such a performance.

Edit: The Reds have scored! They may score a bunch! This will be a long half inning.

Manaea's got a no-hitter through 7. But it's also 0-0. Batters really are feast or famine this year.

You broke the scoreless game jinx both times, so let's see if we can get double no-nos.

And tie game after consecutive, solid hits. ND for Manaea.

Dansby Swanson is either going to figure it all out and be an elite player or not and upset people for 16 years. He so much looks the part despite numbers telling you otherwise.

That's the "word on the street". It'll be good for the Yankees to get a big power, high strikeout righty bat into the lineup.

Since I am not in a points league - the big power part is what I signed up for. Also, I am still big mad as a Kluber owner over the dumbass at 1b for you all over the weekend who botched the bunt and exposed Kluber to an unnecessarily long inning when he was battling Scherzer who had engaged god mode.

Yankees have one confirmed positive on the coaching staff (Nevin) plus up to four more. All have reportedly been vaccinated, Nevin with J&J. This seems "less than ideal".

My impression of him means less than nothing, but if I hadn’t read he was vaxxed I would have guessed Nevin as the type who wouldn’t be.
