Nauseous, that thing says, means "to cause nausea". Never mind that "nauseous" is an adjective and not a verb. Ugh.

"Of great size" is perfectly acceptable usage of "enormity" and, I might add, infinitely more common that the archaic use "extreme evil".

Ridiculous list. Probably getting passed around by the millions. Besides, those are hardly the "top ten". The top ones are idiot variants of you're/your/your's/yours, irregardless, principle/principal, affect/effect, their/there/they're, lie/lay, "I could care less", foilage, expresso . . .

People who know enough English to use words such as compelled and refute tend to use them correctly.

Never trust cute little birds for linguistic advice. Is it possible that the "right" usages listed were the original meaning of the words, but that they have changed over time? Just grasping here, but I don't see how a word like peruse could take a 180 turn.

Though in true TIL fashion, I've just learned that payed is an actual word, it just has nothing to do with finance, and everything to do with letting out rope or chain in small amounts while sailing on a ship.

My new favorite - In the comments section of many online articles, commenters will often insult each other as a "looser". I used to think the extra o was there for emphasis, but, I've seen it so frequently that now I believe it's just how they believe the word is spelled. Looser is a word, but I don't think they are saying that the other poster is more loose.
