My well-intentioned decision to get back into hockey was short lived. I was even texting my friend who has Isles season tickets dating back to the late 80s during the Bruins series, then with the US soccer games, I completely forgot hockey existed. He texted me this morning to discuss Game 7. What'd I miss? I saw a headline about a cheapshot and that's the reason for sketchy injury reports. I'm assuming an Islander injured someone. I DVR'd tonights game, so the Isles better not let me down. I've poured my blood sweat and tears for this team!

According to this morning's 31 Thoughts, the source of the injury was debated all day yesterday. I didn't see any of that, and the local guy that I trust is definitely writing as if it was the Mayfield crosscheck. Who knows?

I watched the first minute or two of Quest for the Cup episode 1 yesterday. It starts with a shot of Cooper smoking a cigar on his pool deck at his beach house on Anna Maria Island. I happen to be heading to AMI for the next week. Really hoping Coop isn't there.

Heading to the game tonight, and I'm finding it REALLY hard to get all the work that needs to be done completed before the week away.

Everyone knows they circumvented the cap but until the league changes the rules it will continue to happen which is perfectly fine. Tampa will likely do it again next year.

Not a fan of our mayor (for a lot of reasons, but especially for) saying out loud that she hoped the Bolts would go easy on the Habs last night, so we could win the Cup at home. I'm personally a bit torn because I have tickets for both game 5 and 7, and would love to see them lift the cup at home, but you can't say that shit out loud.
