My wife had SiriusXM in her car, and in my car I just listened to tunes I’ve loaded onto my phone. But we just gave my daughter the wife’s old car, so we are down to one car now. So, I transferred the Sirius account to my car, and I can listen to that! (My daughter didn’t want the account - she listens to Spotify).

I also listen to SiriusXM at home through Roku sometimes.

NFC, you might like the Up first podcast. It's 8-11 minutes of NPR talking about the stories of the day that comes out each morning. I listen after driving the kids to school.

I never have a very long streak because about one day every week I completely forget about the wordle.

I never have a very long streak because about one day every week I completely forget about the wordle.

At your advanced age that is normal for most things.

Regular camping trips outside of cell range are good for killing streaks and relieving the pressure. (For me it’s been the NYT crossword, not Wordle.)

My wife had to find service long enough to keep her streak alive. I will say unplugging was pretty damn awesome.

I had the same thought... until I missed. I was so annoyed, I didn't stop playing. I was drinking and realized I hadn't played and would lose my streak. I rushed to play, made some stupid mistakes and realized I logged it at 12:02, so I lost the streak and could have waited until I sobered up to play.

Are any of you doing Heardle? It's a name that tune and your six guesses are a couple more seconds of the song. I'm only doing the '90s version, but there's lots of different ones. Here's today's '90s Heardle.

Hadn't seen the 90s version, just the all-era version. I either get it in one, or more often don't recognize the song after getting the answer. I seemed to get mostly new pop songs.

Do you guys play in strict mode where you have to use letters that you have already identified? Or do you allow yourself to guess five completely different letters in each of your first guesses and then piece it together?

I usually self-enforce but don't have it turned on. Will occasionally reuse dead letters on guess 5 if really desperate. In fact I think I did that yesterday, so maybe I was karmically set to fail today.

(today I took 5 cracks at getting one letter with the other 4 already green and flamed out)

I don’t play hard-core. I start with STERN and AUDIO, and then just go from there.

My distributions go 0/2/18/39/21/8, but I also took two mulligans in that time (sites that give hints), so take that with a grain of salt.

Yeah, I don't turn it on either, but I pretty much stick to that rule. It's definitely harder that way. Especially in those cases where you get 3 or 4 letters and there are a bunch of options left.

Today's was one of those words I hate where you get four correct letters on the third try but there's so many options for the final letter you're just throwing darts at a dartboard. (I got it in 5, but the only time I've ever missed it was the same scenario.)

That's why I don't get hard mode. It rewards guessing where throwing out an intentional miss proves you know the 7 words it could be.
