the catch that wasn't reviewed was one one of those obvious times though

Not motivated to look it up, but this Rams team must be the worst defending Super Bowl Champ ever.
Or at least, a lock for bottom 5.

2003 Bucs, 1981 Raiders, and 1987 Giants all had sub .500 records the season after SB victories.
Of course, there are likely others.

Colts prove you can just grab a random person from TV and still win
Re: NFL 2022 week 10 - dirty birds in a wet CLT
Boy, that Burkhardt/Olsen broadcast team sucks.
Re: NFL 2022 week 10 - dirty birds in a wet CLT
I won't speak for Burkhardt, but I find Greg Olsen to be one of the better analysts in the NFL (definitely better than Collinsworth, Aikman and Romo). I like Moose Johnston, too.

Re: NFL 2022 week 10 - dirty birds in a wet CLT
Moose is good, but I dunno...
Also, can Rodgers not call an audible? Packers run a bad play on 3rd and 1 and he walks over and yells at his coaches for calling the play.

Re: NFL 2022 week 10 - dirty birds in a wet CLT
Irsay apparently told Reich to bench Matt Ryan for the rest of the season, and then after Sam Ehlinger shit the bed, he fired Reich. And, of course, Jeff Saturday comes in and starts Matt Ryan.Rex wrote: Sun Nov 13, 2022 7:07 pm Colts prove you can just grab a random person from TV and still win

Olsen's good at explaining seemingly mundane, or entirely missable elements of games and you come away actually learning something. Romo's a freakin idiot. Sorry. I just like pointing that out whenever possible.Pruitt3 wrote: Sun Nov 13, 2022 7:33 pm Moose is good, but I dunno...

Re: NFL 2022 week 10 - dirty birds in a wet CLT
I’d much much rather listen to Tony Romo than Moose Johnston or Greg Olsen. He’s the best color guy.

Re: NFL 2022 week 10 - dirty birds in a wet CLT
Disagree. Romo's too easily impressed, and when he gets that way, he tends to forget how to convert it into a cogent string of words.

They show lots of beautiful shots of San Francisco. But the game is 50 miles away in Santa Clara

Buffalo games always feature a shot of Niagara Falls which is 35 miles away from the stadium.

*cue the NBC bumper music*
Re: NFL 2022 week 10 - dirty birds in a wet CLT
Obviously the bumper music is Springsteen, followed by Bon Jovi, Fugees/Lauren Hill, Sinatra, and then Yo La Tengo as the wild card act.

They did show Apple's campus during one game a couple years ago after it opened. I paused to explain to my wife that it's where I told her where I would go when I was actually hanging out with you.sancarlos wrote: Sun Nov 13, 2022 9:25 pm They show lots of beautiful shots of San Francisco. Yeah, I've never seen it either. Maybe an exit sign off a highway?
Re: NFL 2022 week 10 - dirty birds in a wet CLT
Is this a Nickerson Field joke? Because the Boston Patriots used to play there, BU alum.
I would just love if the network switched it up though. They're the New England Patriots after all. Show me Burlington. Show me Portland. Show me Hartford. Show me North Conway. Enough with Boston. I want lulz.

Hey, I played in a flag football league on Nickerson Field! The turf was like running on a giant gymnastics springboard. Got horrible shin splints and pain in my hips and knees. Providence is actually closer to Foxboro than Boston. Although, they claim six states so I guess there's no shortage of scenery.

Csonka and Griese are starting to get their annual erections.

As is the stadium in Buffalo... Kind of similar vibe, now that I think about it.

I haven't watched Washington at all this year, but was intrigued by the 2nd Q scoreline and stuck with it.sancarlos wrote: Mon Nov 14, 2022 10:47 pm So, Eagles’ twitter reacting calmly to that missed facemask on the fumble play.
This game was nuts. Probably best exemplified by the Iggles hitting on 50 yard post route (fly route? whatev) on a diving catch, getting up untouched and then getting absolutely hammered by the W. defender to fumble it away.
Or maybe it was the PF with a minute left when Heinecke kneeled and then got slightly lit up to effectively end the game.
Just a wild affair.

My last office was like maybe a mile from MetLife and its worse than in the middle of nowhere. There's stuff around, it just all sucks. And that was before the weird new "destination" mall opened.Nonlinear FC wrote: Tue Nov 15, 2022 9:01 amBarely. It's in the middle of fucking nowhere.
