Have to think they'll be finding stuff like that in Ukraine for the next 80 years.

On an I'm an old man now... These Amazon guys just park their personal cars everywhere and anywhere, mostly the middle of the road when delivering packages. Blasting music of course. Why is it again that Amazon cant train and provide vehicles? I'm about done with this Uber Amazon gig economy shit. Rarely Uber and miss the FedEx/ups professionalism. Honestly the packages come too fast now... Tomorrow between 4am-8am? Wonder if they can do that with signature pages?

Welcome to the New World! A few of our neighbors constantly get deliveries. FedEx, UPS, Amazon, takeout delivery, grocery stores/instacart, you name it… We live on a little residential street, and those guys clog up the width of the road regularly.

But if that’s my biggest problem today, things aren’t too bad.

I haven’t seen them block the street so much (maybe because they stick around longer than a delivery person$ but there are so many of them that I don’t get how it’s sustainable.

I graduated from Western Kentucky on Friday with my MBA (with a concentration in Supply Chain Management). Go Tops!

I traveled there to walk and everything. I accomplished a goal of graduating from an actual brick and mortar university and not just some online only degree mill.

Feels good, man!

Dude. I'm so bummed. No Big Red anywhere. I also should've realized that there was a basketball game Friday night and got tickets. Big Red was probably there. Opportunity possibly missed.

Through some combo of being unsober and tired I forgot to put the soup I spent all afternoon making in the fridge last night before I went to bed. It was a better on day 2 kind of meal, too. Sad!

My family minus me is going to see Mariah Carey Christmas tonight (future tense as she’s not on yet) and I went into the city with them to hang out beforehand then wait at a bar. Walking to where I’m at now I heard a guy say to a girl “I can’t believe 2023 is going to take Helen Mirran and Harrison Ford” so I’m just typing this out for the record in case I passed someone from the future.

Yeah, the show is called "1923" so it was likely either a malaprop or you misheard.

(And it is pretty amazing that Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford are appearing in a show that is a prequel to a second-rate show on a third-tier streaming network.)

Wandering around NYC by myself for a bit after leaving my wife and kids at Radio City to see the Christmas show with her visiting cousin and his BF and three NYPD officers were just headed in the other direction and I heard

Ended up in a deli to grab a bite and more coffee, and there were two more cops in there. I took that as a positive sign since I not only trust a cop more to recommend a decent place to grab breakfast in their neighborhood than to tell me where to get a suit, but food is more relevant to my general interests. When the cashier started looking for someone to pay for an egg white, bacon and cheese no one volunteered. The guy taking orders pointed to the first cop who muttered “egg whites?” but paid for it anyway.

I ordered the same as the second cop, who was in front of me in line, which as per the menu was a wrap with egg whites, pepper jack, avocado and tomatoes. In reality I got a wrap with egg whites, perhaps jack (no pepper), avocado, turkey, lettuce and ranch. Well crafted and quality ingredients but not what I wanted.

NYPD ain’t know breakfast and pay too much for their suits.

Some kid here is super excited about the big red balls and has said the phrase “big red balls” 4 or 5 times and he seems to just on the edge of being old enough to know why that’s funny or just young enough to be too naive to know why that’s funny.

I followed up my beer with a hot Singapore coffee and am feeling fantastic right now.
