maybe i'm just taunting him....
yeah latest is that we'll get 12-16 overnight; that's honestly fine by me, but i suspect it will keep snowing into Sunday.
right - where do you put it all? i don't know - again, my Hamburg buddy was talking about that today and they have a lot more room down there than here where i live. Like...he has a snowblower but it's like he's in a tunnel at this point; just won't launch over the banks anymore.
(we are supposed to get rain next week. that'll be lovely)

just tempting Mr. D.
Good news (for you) missing the brunt of the storm so far, hopefully you don't get too much tonight. I can't imagine get hit with 66" in one storm. How do you keep up with the shoveling? Even with a snowblower, where do you put it all? I don't think that snow is melting any time sooner.

Clear, 35*, and 20mph winds. Tomorrow's long run is going to be fun.
Eta - yikes! It'll be 28* for my run tomorrow. At least I don't have to do 20mi like my insane wife.

Similarly, the Philly Marathon started at 7 am this morning (they run it the Sunday before Thanksgiving, 2 weeks after New York). It’s currently 34 here.
My avatar corresponds on my place in the Swamp posting list with the all-time Home Run list. Number 45 is Paul Konerko with 439.

Eh, running in the cold is fine. Just as long as you never stop.

Running in the cold is glorious. Felt downright energized. The lady did 21. Last long run before the marathon and a chance to qualify for Boston.

I've finally been able to run again after about a year or so with plantar fasciitis making it impossible (thanks golf!) and I've oddly enjoyed the miserable cold runs the past 10 days or so. I won't in February, but I think the ability to zone out on a basketball or soccer podcast is a great motivation and I'm aiming for another half next fall

The thing I love most about Rain Storms in lexington during rush hour is the 5,000 immigrants from the sahara deciding this was the morning they needed to get out and be people about town directly between me and my office. Stunned at how bad these drivers are in the rain, and I can't imagine it's different in every other city.

It was being said taking into account windchill…I’m sure it was the case in some parts. At my house in Longmont we dropped 38 degrees in 15 minutes.
I would like expensive whiskey.
We only have beer & wine...

That’s cold. We are maybe getting down to single digits but it’s only been about 40 all week.

I ran some errands at noon, the car said it was 52. I went to get beer at 6, when I was driving home it said -1. According to my phone it's -8 and there's 15 mph winds. It's super dry bone-chilling cold. I went around handing out the holiday beers (a 11% Kviek barleywine I brewed) and my hands were super cold just running across the cul de sac.
Was gonna hit Top Golf with the boys tomorrow for the pie day, but I'll happily drink scotch at home to welcome my 50th.
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?

Toronto will get off relatively easy in terms of snow (3-5 inches), but that will drop on top of (and this is a term I don't recall hearing before) a "flash freeze" where the rain that's about to start falling for 12 hours will suddenly freeze over. Temperatures dropping from high 30's to single digits.
And you just know those plows won;t be out in full force over the Christmas weekend.
Grocery store was nuts today.

After a night of 40 degrees and steady rain, rain has become snow and temperature is plummeting.
