Dropped from 44 this morning to 14 now (-2 wind chill). I spent the last hour before the temperature jumped off a cliff outside in an off-and-on light rain cleaning the ice off our driveway.

I was getting full snow at 1:15. Enormous flakes and coming down hard for about 15 minutes, then suddenly stopped. I went out at 2:30, car temp read 31. When I got back in the car 20 minutes later it read 23. It was 55 at 8:00 am. Weather channel app says it is going down to 9. Insanely windy, and the worst kind of bitterly cold wind. It's Buffalo weather out there. App says it feels like 6 degrees, but that's bullshit, it feels way colder. I went to the grocery store the parking lot was so crazy I decided to walk across the lot to CVS. Deeply regretted that and my choice of a light jacket, no hat or gloves halfway across the lot.

Yeah, same weather app I’ve been checking all day says 25 now. And the wind is nuts, my face was uncomfortable walking the dog just now.

I was also walking the dog just now (didn’t see you) and it was miserable. Forgot gloves but not sure how much that would have even helped. It went from unseasonably nice to absolutely don’t go outside and the sun isn’t down.

Glad my daughter's flight from Seattle got here ok last night. Looking at the arrivals/departures board at the airport... LOTS of cancellations.

If it’s anywhere near this windy I’m going to have to skip my run tomorrow AM. Though we do have to line up outside the Italian bakery downtown at some point.

This wind is insane, sounds like a freight train speeding by, and it’s constant. Just went out to put away the patio furniture, should have thought of that yesterday. Luckily my row of trees stopped the chairs and cover which I clipped to the chairs.

App says 11, feels like -8 with 20 mph wind. If this is 20 mph, no way anyone could throw a football in this. Still calling bs on the -8. When it’s this windy, “feels like -8” is way worse than when the temp is actually -8.

First walk was 2 degrees, wind chill of -18. It was 5 degrees and sunny for the second walk, so downright tropical.

Cool and damp, almost every day so far. More sun than I expected though, which is nice. Adjusting to a house that doesn’t have central heat is strange, but getting there. Have pretty much used our wood stove in the main salon every evening.
