He jumped straight up, and the Texas player blocked him out. I mean, the refs got the call right, but I'm wrong? Not following the logic.

It was a weird sequence. Everybody thought they called it on the Miami player, but then the refs either clarified it or reversed themselves (not sure which) and said the foul was on the Texas player.

I'm with Enoch. The refs got that one right. You can't push a dude who's in the air like that, regardless of whether you're going forward or backward.

That was a really fun game to watch. Both teams were playing so hard. Like that foul call above, because of the aggressiveness on both sides, there were a number of calls that I'm sure could be argued either way.

It was a foul on Cunningham live and I was floored one of the officials whistled that on Omier at first. yes, he boxed out, but you can't back up and take someone's landing zone away -- just like on a shooting foul. I don't think the play itself was all that controversial. it just became that when the official made the (wrong) call at first.

also, my post earlier was a very big easter egg that no one appeared to get!!!!

There are 17 people in my company pool and none of have a team left alive. I'm in another contest with 53 entrants, and exactly one person is still alive (he picked UConn to the finals).

How's the Swamp pool looking? (I forgot to enter that one)

I'm tied for first and maxed out in my pool. She needs UConn to beat Miami to win, otherwise comes down to total points tie breaker in championship. I have to imagine there are going to be a fuckton of pool winners this year that didn't have the champion.

I was just wondering what percentage of pools are going to be won by brackets without the winner. I wonder if 85% is too low of an estimate.

I mean the only realistic choice left is UConn. Any of the others were only picked by fans of those schools. Still gotta add up to a pretty small percentage of percentage of brackets.

To give a little equal time to the women’s tourney, Caitlin Clark of Iowa just posted a 42/10/12 in their 97-83 Elite Eight victory, the first 40-point triple double by either gender in tourney history.
My avatar corresponds on my place in the Swamp posting list with the all-time Home Run list. Number 45 is Paul Konerko with 439.

I don't watch women's hoops. Just too much content out there and interests, but probably will turn on the Terps-Gamecocks game tonight (maybe..channel flipping with the USA soccer game). Should be a good one.

Texas' last three minutes was some of the low-key worst offensive basketball I have ever seen, sitting somewhere between "zero good shots" and "zero good possessions".

I'm in a 135 person pool and 9 teams have any possible points left, all UConn. If UConn does lose, I'm going to finish T-2nd having gotten three Elite 8, one final four and no final game teams. Just an absolute mess this year.
