I've probably told this before, but when my wife was a young associate, she did public school law and her firm represented most of the school boards in the state. When a defendant skips out bail here, that forfeited money goes to the schools. So, every Friday, she would go to court for the hearings on forfeited bonds. The bail bondsmen who had fronted the money always just represented themselves in court to try to convince the court that their clients had a really good reason (they were dead, had been arrested in another state, etc.). Bail bondsmen are bounty hunters, so these are typically large, rough men not exactly dressed like lawyers. They'd bring up obviously forged docs showing their client in jail somewhere else or whatever. The judge knew them all and never fell for it, but it made for a funny scene - my wife the small blonde girl in the nice suit against a 6'6" bald, tattooed dude in a black trench coat trying to sound like a lawyer.

I don’t know much about this DA but the investigation was long (and likely thorough) so not sure why the thought was she wouldn’t be ready.

This is doubly stupid because state convictions can’t be pardoned federally so even if the American Modi or DeFascist is president they can’t help Trump.

However. If he was wearing a fat suit for years and is actually ripped I’d consider voting for him in 2024 because that shit is funny.

I'm here for the ATL pass sir. Every attorney in this town should know where rice st is. Decent park though. Hope they keep building. Would have got the land a lot cheaper when they called it perry homes
