The font and coloring of the LeoVegas ad playing regularly on the boards at SJP makes them look like Little Caesar’s foray into online gambling.
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.

Yeah, beautiful. My daughter insists he meant to do a Maradona and accidentally heel passed to Nketiah, but there is no way. He intended that all the way, and it was sublime.

Only saw the halftime highlights so far, but really impressed with Ange taking off Romero after suspecting a concussion.

Chelsea are this season's Nottm Forest with no shirt sponsor.

Do the offsides VAR checks account for how big someone's hair is?
Re: EPL 2023-24
United was seriously unimpressive today. Was that a blip? They looked like they were chasing around actual wolves.

Started like shit last year and still made the CL. It's an improvement!

Well, honestly that's Wolves' fault for asking the ref to take the penalty for them.

Re: EPL 2023-24
Look at how young Chelsea's squad was against Liverpool. We have Silva who's ancient. And then Sterling at 28. Ben Chilwell is the only other player older than 25. Chelsea played 10 players 23 or younger! It's quite the gambit Todd Boehler and the other owners are making. Chelsea is paying a lot in transfer fees, but much less in wages since the players are so young.
25 - Robert Sánchez
38 - Thiago Silva
20 - Levi Colwill
25 - Axel Disasi
23 - Conor Gallagher
22 - Enzo Fernández
26 - Ben Chilwell
19 - Lesley Ugochukwu (sub)
23 - Reece James
20 - Malo Gusto (sub)
22 - Nicolas Jackson
19 - Carney Chukwuemeka
21 - Ian Maatsen (sub)
28 - Raheem Sterling
22 - Mykhailo Mudryk (sub)

He didn't play on Sunday.
To clarify - that list above is the players who actually got on the field.

I know, I was being silly.
Adams to Bournemouth seems good from a playing time perspective but I'd rather he were on a team with a better path to safety.

Re: EPL 2023-24
It was a shit call to get the penalty (dive, and as far from goal as possible), then Mo didn't pick a corner with the shot. I've got Liverpool in a parlay, so I'll allow it all.

Not happy right now.
Re: EPL 2023-24
Want an old Newcastle jersey I stole from a soccer shop in Austin in 1996? I was going through my closet this morning and found it deep in the back. I’ve probably worn it less than 5 times.

I feel like this is the beginning of a joke, but I’ll buy it off ya if the size is right and all. Name and number? Re: EPL 2023-24
I have seen a lot of soccer games, but I have NEVER seen anything like Spurs' backup keeper Fraser Forster's performance in today's Carabao Cup penalty shootout.
He literally crumpled to the ground to his right every time and was never within 4 yards of a ball.

I'll have to remember to take a pic of it and send it to you. IIRC, it's smaller than that and there wasn't a number? I'm happy to send it to you either way, don't need any money. Not like I paid for it.cerranoredux wrote: Sun Aug 27, 2023 8:38 pmI feel like this is the beginning of a joke, but I’ll buy it off ya if the size is right and all. Name and number? Apparently so. I don't know anything about this dude. But I do wish Chelsea would stop changing the roster and give guys a chance to gel and grow into roles.mister d wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 3:11 pm Chelsea has the allowance and the roster space for Cole Palmer at >$50MM?
In terms of money and space, Chelsea has sold or let go a LOT of players this summer.

According to MiB, it’s all about debt amortization, not winning games.Shirley wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 5:03 pmApparently so. I don't know anything about this dude. Re: EPL 2023-24
I don't agree with that. They definitely want to win games. You don't spend as much money as they have on new players without trying to win, especially at a club like Chelsea. The fans have no patience for a "process." But yes, they definitely have been trying to offload older, high-wage players and buy a bunch of young talent at cheaper weekly rates. If just a few pan out, you can have a really good squad. The Sybian wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 6:38 pmAccording to MiB, it’s all about debt amortization, not winning games.Shirley wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 5:03 pmApparently so. Re: EPL 2023-24
Its a weird one because I assume the reason City is willing to sell is because he's blocked here and, if Haaland (and Alvarez) were to leave, they'd buy more of a sure thing. You'd think Chelsea would have the same idea rather than essentially paying Richarlison/Jesus rates for a guy they hope can succeed. Like he kinda has to play, its not like they're buying him at $20 with hopes of selling at $50.Shirley wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 5:03 pmApparently so. I don't know anything about this dude. Gravenberch is one of those non-PL players I like but can't remember how it started. I hope he doesn't do good.
