And as you mentioned previously, the Maple Leafs certainly belong on any list of worst franchises in sports history (modern edition).

Since winning the Cup in 1967, the Leafs have made it to the finals a grand total of Zero times. Three trips to the semi-finals is as good as it's gotten for the richest team in the sport.

1. Detroit Tigers: Payroll and aging players like the Yankees but without the titles. Perhaps shooting for less successful, shorter peak Atlanta Braves? Ignores fact they have a top 10 all-time 2B making them complicit in his laughable Hall of Fame non-candidacy. Handed over a legit #2 just for the spectacle of superfans tripping over themselves to justify trade. Money can't buy titles, but it can buy playoff appearances!

I'm a very casual hockey watcher, and I'm always just amazed at how skilled these guys are. They are incredible skaters, and their stick skills are jaw dropping. Especially when they do the re-directs on shots. No idea how they can do that so well.
