Darts has been an absolute mainstay of sports programming up here since way back when. I have to admit that I enjoy watching the British events and most likely watch more darts than regular season baseball or hockey. The events have an absolutely hysterical atmosphere - highly recommended.
Love their nicknames as well. Phil "The Power" Taylor is the GOAT of the sport.

Gary Anderson and Wesley Harms both deny responsibility for ‘rotten’ fart smell during Wolverhampton tournament
World number four ranked Anderson hit back with extraordinary detail about the smell he blamed on Harms. “It definitely came from table-side and it was eggs, rotten eggs, but not from me,” Anderson said.
“Every time I walked past there was a waft of rotten eggs so that’s why I was thinking it was him. It definitely wasn’t me.

To state the obvious, if any of us tried to play the game the pros play - "501" - each game might take a couple of hours.
ETA: a tribute to the Michael Jordan of darts.
We play 501 at the bar. Unless we are playing some bastardized version it doesn't take anything near that long.
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Cricket 4 Lyfe.
Well, I actually prefer Cricket, too, but we switch it up.

You have to finish on a double or bullseye. That's what makes it hard.
Kung Fu movies are like porn. There's 1 on 1, then 2 on 1, then a group scene..
Snooker was absolutely huge in the 70s and 80s. The 1985 World final is still the most watched sporting event on British tv (even more than the 2018 England v Croatia semifinal)
80s were a different time in Britain, most popular sports other than soccer were snooker, cricket, field hockey, squash and track

For years, when we visited relatives in Saskatchewan, it was a tradition that I would go play snooker with my grandfather and my father, while we had a couple pops. I was a lot better back then, but I could never win the day. Still, great memories.
