Apparently it was all over the Arizona sky. Would've liked a heads up on that the way the eclipse was marketed.

Word went out among the weather weirdo community (which I am a part of) about 12-18 hours ahead of time - then pics from Europe including places well south in Europe cashing in and my hopes increased for where I was south of Cleveland. Would really not have guessed that you all could see it as far south as Arizona . What a crazy anomalous event.

My tweet above went mini-popular - 21,000 views - my best ever I would think.

Yea, I thought about my post after the fact and figured an event like that was probably not that known ahead of time.

I saw pics on Reddit the next morning and was like damn. Oddly enough, I actually stayed up late watching TV on Friday but since I wasn't glued to my phone I had no idea.

The sky out here is clear most nights too. Not a lot of light pollution either. The observatory on Mt. Lemmon must have had an immaculate view.

And that's why FOMO is so real.

We’re having our first cloudy night in two weeks.

Top two were taken in my neighborhood, by friends. The bottom was taken at the beach by another buddy.

The first batch I posted were taken by me. I didn’t see any of the purple lights. Only green.

Aw man, I wanted green. Nice. Our view looked a lot like BFJ's neighbor's purple sky.

We border some state game lands and I was able to position them to the north and get a dark picture. It looks much better in the photo's, but you could still see the light red and the green was a white haze.
