I watched the Lomachenko v Commey fight last night, which was quite enjoyable. Loma is just a different level when on his game, but holy shit does Commey have a huge heart. He couldn’t touch Loma but still kept on coming at him. I’m surprised he was allowed to come out after the seventh, but all his strength did seem to return in his legs.

Boxing is one of 3 sports that is currently on the cut list for the L.A. Olympics. Apparently the leadership is corrupt and drug problems.

That's too bad. The olympic boxing in Tokyo was excellent. It can't be more corrupt than in the 80s and 90s

It was good at the last Olympics, but it's been a cesspit since Seoul.

Tyson Fury is unlike any fighter I have ever seen.

Flabby, ungainly and damn near unhittable. I pity the folks who paid $70 to watch what he just did to the "#1 Contender"

Oleksander Usyk - Anthony Joshua 2
[+] spoiler
This Usyk is incredible. An undeserved split decision in Usyk's favour. Even the British announcers had Usyk winning by 4-5 rounds. Joshua may be one of the most overhyped fighters since Gerry Cooney. But Usyk moves like a welterweight at times. When he fights Fury, it could either be an absolute epic, or 12 rounds without a single telling punch landing.

Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia sounds like it is going to be a good one. 136lbs, so light and fast...both are undefeated.

Garcia (23-0, 9 KOs) has made a career out of scoring spectacular KOs.
Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) has stopped 18 of his last 19 fights.

Have a feeling Davis is going to win fairly handily. Garcia's not faced the same level of guys - seemed to be spoonfed by Golden Boy.

So who do you have for Friday...Tyson or Paul?

Hoping for neither and I think boxing losses...but
I think Paul wins. Just very strong and Tyson, who is still quick, won't have the legs, will, or discipline to take it.

Tyson better win in the first 4 minutes otherwise I think he's destined to lose a decision, unless the fix is in and they want a rematch.

what Punch Out character would have had the best shot against Tyson if you could play as him? Probably Sandman, the kind of slugger he struggled with eventually. But I’m thinking Great Tiger would have had a shot.
