Pretty sure no one, maybe me included, understands this game.

BFJ is the town wizard who runs a magic shop. He also has a golem that he has trained to attack anti-Semites.
Re: The Old GOATS
Efren Reyes was a great call.
Garry Kasparov is be willing to argue.
I think if we just went with individual positions, there’s a somewhat easier argument. Like if we went overall GOATs at CF, 3B, and C there wouldn’t be much argument against Mays, Schmidt, and Bench respectively. And for defensive GOATs at their positions, 3B and SS are Brooks and Ozzie.
PG - Magic
OG - John Hannah
Pass rushing LB (now stand-up Edge) - LT
Blueliner - Clearly Orr
Corner - Deion
Lead-off man - Rickey

Oh man, AB's not gonna like that post at all.

Aleksandr Karelin.
When it comes to runners, are we looking at the GOAT purely objectively or in comparison with their peers? Because didn't Edwin Moses win every hurdling event for ten years? But I'd assume everyone running in the 400 meter hurdles in Paris last month is faster than he was then.

Personally, I don't get involved much in these kinds of discussions. Because it is so hard to compare players of different eras. Guys like Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth and Walter Johnson were so dominant in their eras. But, how would that translate if you had time travel and just dropped them into today's game? Not well, I'd presume.

Yup, exactly why I posted that thing about WJ having the fastest fastball of his era at 91 mph.sancarlos wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 4:22 pm Personally, I don't get involved much in these kinds of discussions. I think the point is to find athletes who were so dominant that that argument doesn't matter.sancarlos wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 4:22 pm Personally, I don't get involved much in these kinds of discussions. Totally Kafkaesque
Re: The Old GOATS
No. Square Earl isn't a shoo-in for best pro bowler of all time. You can make legitimate arguments for others, including Walter Ray Williams Jr., Pete Weber and the still-active Jason Belmonte. Belmo had a down year last year but if he returns to his typical greatness he'll easily be the PBA GOAT.
THERE’S NOWT WRONG WITH GALA LUNCHEONS, LAD!

If for example Barshim broke Sotomayor's record (and he was damn close), I'd still say Sotomayor. I'd have Carl Lewis over Powell.Shirley wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 1:50 pm For track and field, you probably have to go by event and I don't think you can just pick the current world record holder. Like, I agree that Edwin Moses would have be the men's 400m hurdles GOAT even if modern dudes probably beat his times.
Usain Bolt is clearly the GOAT men's sprinter even if he's a bit after 2000.
The pole vaulter is a goat for sure tho. So is Jonathan Edwards.

How interested are you in being an angel investor for an app?
