Would be gerrymandered to the extreme
I don't think you can gerrymander state borders. I just mean like, if you get 60% of California's popular vote, you get 60% of their electoral votes and so on.

It's as American as apple pie. Blaming a group that barely scrapes 2 percent of the population is (potentially) to blame for him losing the election. Jews not being loyal to America is straight out of the bigoted playbook.

The real fuckery there is that the Naziest executive office candidate since the Fuhrer himself is grabbing 40% of the Jew vote.

The fact that he was so gracious in the aftermath tells me that it was probably the campaign’s fault. Who knows what story they’ll land on though.

From what I read the place got a ton of backlash after Harris went there and put a kibosh on any future political photo-ops.

Isn't it 2? James Austin Johnson as Tr*mp and Bowen Yang as JD.

Also, I thought Mikey Day was Biden up until this skit. Of course Dana Carvey is just so damn good at everything, but WHAT THE EFF!

Anyone else here panicking or is it just me?

I fear the hurricane rules out NC and GA, and making Haitian immigrants salient costs PA. Will abortion be enough to overcome these things?

I need NLFC to come talk me off the ledge.

Why would the federal gubmint/Biden-Harris actually helping GA/NC citizens hurt them?

Because Trump and the GOP are lying and saying Biden is ignoring them, and that narrative gets out much better than the narrative that Biden and Harris are helping. A lot more people will hear and believe Trump saying Biden did nothing and Kemp can't get in touch with him than will hear Kemp saying Biden called him immediately and offered anything he needs.

With Trump’s base sure but they’re never voting for Harris anyway. The potentially swayed medium-info voters might be.

Because after a month of living in a shitty situation, people will blame the government. And there will be several stories about routine fuckups and snafus that will get a lot more play in the weeks before the election.

Sandy hit NJ just a few days before the election, so people were still in the rallying together phase. That’ll be long over by November 5.

So, getting REALLY fucking specific about the storm and those impacted... And I feel shitty saying this, but not really...

The parts of NC that were really hammered by this storm are, in particular the counties... That's Trump country. So, if they don't absentee ballot, which I *think* they've been told is evil?

Yeah, this storm was not good for their GoTV.

I'm pretty sure there's something similar going on in Georgia.

=-==-=-=-=

What is concerning is just the overall vibe. You've got wild shit going on in the ME, you've got the Longshore people striking, and you have this storm madness.

Chaos is Trump's ally. So... Need shit to calm down, generally.

This VP debate isn't going well for Walz at all. I don't think this is a great format for him.

Mods are drawing a ton of false equivalencies too, but he's not very good at pointing that out.

Said his son witnessed a school shooting, then Vance was like "Tim, I'm so sorry I had no idea that your 17 year old son witnessed a school shooting."

Why do I think his son didn't witness a school shooting?

After sleeping on it, I'm really, really bummed that we didn't get Walz getting righteously indignant at the "peaceful transfer of power" line and going full "Where the hell are the values you learned in the military? Honor, courage, and commitment, right Marine? And what was your oath is enlistment? 'I solemnly swear to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC', right? There was a single domestic threat on American soil that day. Donald Trump. And he egged on a mob of MAGA extremists...etc"

Like, fucking hell, why wasn't that in debate prep?
