A pro needs to score that 80% of the time. Nice to see the kid from the MLS program (Galaxy 2 I think) finish like a pro.

The ending of this game was a little nuts. Guats drew a PK (legit, btw) and the Columbus Crew keeper stoned it. This all happened in like the 89th minute.

FS1. Trinidadian ref. Be interesting to see how hacky this game gets. Especially after only a 2 day rest.

So, they’ve really, really decided against rehiring Greggg again this time?

Love the Poch hire if it's true. Nobody can every predict if a manager is going to work out, but he's got a pretty good track record and a WAY better resume than any former US coach. I think he'd be great.

I know they were missing a few key guys, but... Holy shit were the US bad yesterday.

Canada, very easily, could've been up 4-0 at HT. They missed 2 or 3 sitters AND our goal stole at least 2 standing on his head.

I get that the program is in flux, but these guys are professionals and Canada isn't THAT good. (no disrespect, they are VERY good... But the US play was garbage and they were getting opened up on very simple passes and movement.)

I don't follow the gossip enough to know if these guys really loved Greggg. If they did, a house-cleaning of sorts may be required.

So, without getting too deep into this, GGG created something akin to a "leadership council", which, you know... Is so 1999 USWNT I can't even.

The culture needs to be about accountability. You (pulisic) can't duff corners and free kicks into the nearpost with no results for 3 years running. Fuck that.

No one is secured. Prove your worth.

Come the fuck on.

Fossey the random Belgium guy we have out wide tonight... Fun to watch, but...like... We need to get a grip on this and not keep trying to find pretty random guys when we have a core.

The core is very VERY good. I sincerely hope we dont go all Julian Green and try to find random solutions when we have the horses. Just need to find an identity. fff.

I can't imagine how frustrating it has to be to be an injury prone professional athlete. Not like David Wells with his presumably self-inflicted back issues, but like a guy who really does the training and rehab and shit just keeps happening.

I’m not smart enough to know if it’s the service or the structure or just Panama, but Pulisic’s corners seem way better tonight than in the past.

Probably a Milan thing. He’s in the form of his life, so a lot of credit probably needs to go to the Milan staff.

I fell asleep at halftime and it is a bit of a stretch to say I was awake during the first half, so, seemed good? Hopefully Poch had something to say about the 9:09ET kickoff time postgame.

Watching it this morning... Pretty decent, overall. They still give up too many dangerous chances, but Turner was a rock.

The energy and sense of urgency was there, which was bizarrely missing the last 6 or so months.

Seemed better aside from the standard 10:00 span where they give up chance after chance to inferior sides. Good they didn’t concede but that was more finishing luck than anything they did.

If you ignore that Wednesday happens after Tuesday, it could work out for me really well with Yankees right into USMNT tonight. Of course, I theoretically could have watched the end of the Jets game last night but instead was asleep minutes after Weaver got the last out.
