Man, this Phillies bullpen this postseason has been… well, like every other Phillies postseason bullpen (except one).

Goodbye, The Phillies. I guess America still has a team to root against in the Dodgers.

especially for such "respected" reporters/writers, these on-field interviews are beyond horrible. 6th grade level embarrassing without the charm of a kid.

...actually ... that would be awesome; get a 12 yr old to do these.

Did the Royals pitchers not throw any non-strikes at home this year?

Unless the box is 1/3 the size it’s supposed to be, I’m ok mocking the fans here.

at least we could hear the fans last night. the audio on the first two games in NY made it seem like the stadium was empty

6 of 121 called balls were true strikes.

Was that supposed to be 66 or were you just coming around to my original point?

neither; simply noting that the zone was, in fact, fairly inconsistent. the bottom of the zone was a mess

(I don't think it had any real bearing on the game either way. the missed strike call that allowed the bunt didn't turn into anything)

Costas has never been a good play-by-play guy. Even his most infamous play, he didn't think Tarasco would have caught Jeter's fly ball.

Sure, I don't think it was a good zone (and the most consequential wrong call was likely the Judge check swing so not even the HP ump). I was merely saying "Royals fans think every pitch thrown by a Royals pitcher is a strike and react with outrage when its called otherwise". We can do this again tonight, I'm sure.

Objective baseball fan me loves they’re using Erceg here (and next inning against the middle of the lineup) in a situation that could effectively end their season.

He’s kidding. Glad the Tigers have Skubal for G5 but wish he was going G1 in the ALCS obviously.
