Thanks for reminding me that my NFL team is going to be destroyed on national television this weekend.brian wrote: Wed Nov 06, 2024 2:09 pm It’s maximum irony that one of my only reasons to live is seeing how this Lions season turns out. I can guess how it’ll ultimately gonna go just like I knew how the election would go but having a little hope is keeping me from sticking my head in an oven.

Bets I like blind (ie not running numbers this week)
(No particular order)
Btw the Titans of all teams ended the Lions Curse(tm)
1. Bengals @ Ravens Over 53
If any of these teams has played defense at any point in the season, please let me know. I checked and the scoring on Thursday nights seems to be about the same as "regular" games, at least on average.
2. Giants @ Panthers (+6.5)
Yes I know the Panthers suck, but so do the Giants. Why are they laying 6.5 on the road? What are we doing here books? Tighten up.
3. Denver (+8) @ Kansas City
I know Denver let me down last week but I still dare the Chiefs to cover a large spread. Just once, Chiefs. Do it one time.
4. Pittsburgh +3 @ Washington
Just a feeling that this one is more of a toss-up.
5. San Francisco @ Tampa (+6)
The Niners also refuse to cover large spreads, particularly on the other side of the country.
6. Philadelphia -7 @ Dallas
Have you seen Cooper Rush play football? I have

Though opposing teams are still 0-7 ATS.
As for this game against the Texans it scares me bc the Lions have always struggled with mobile QBs and they’re due for a bad game AND their next two are very winnable so they might be looking ahead to 10-1.
I’d take the Texans and the points.

CJ Stroud probably like the 20th most mobile QB in the NFL
I'm not touching that game but if I were it wouldn't be on Houston's side

I don’t watch a lot of Houston games but feels like he ran for 1,000 yards against Michigan in college.Gunpowder wrote: Wed Nov 06, 2024 10:42 pm CJ Stroud probably like the 20th most mobile QB in the NFL

Re: NFL Week 10
I liked the idea of going for it. Using Chase as a decoy was stupid though, and it was apparent the Ravens weren't buying it anyway.

Some questionable non-officiating on that 2 point conversion.

Chase is so damn good. It’s really crazy that the two best receivers alive played next to each other in college.

If they lose to the Patriots, Eberflus should be fired coming out of the locker room after the game.

Re: NFL Week 10
They entered this game without three starting offensive linemen and that number is now four. He's getting the axe at the end of the year. Unfortunately, Poles almost certainly isn't also getting it.brian wrote: Sun Nov 10, 2024 2:29 pmIf they lose to the Patriots, Eberflus should be fired coming out of the locker room after the game.

Not the first time this season. The Niners' cheerleaders have also done it.
