Have an oil change appointment this morning. Know it would be about an hour. Thought it would be a good time to read a bit of my book, really get into it.

Guess who forgot their reading glasses?

I have officially reached the point where I can’t read at all unless the font size is “highway exit sign”. Which makes for too big a book to hold.

The optometrist recommended I increase the font size on my phone. I just turned 44, not ready for that yet.

I got progressive lenses earlier this year. Sometimes, at my computer, I have to force myself to put my glasses back on because leaning on the desk with them off feels more comfortable.

Today is the last day of my 40s.

I'm going to celebrate tomorrow by getting my first ink in over 25 years. I found a book my daughter gave my dad to write down memories. I'm looking for the words "young", "at", and "heart", and getting them in his script on probably my right oblique.

My wife and I went out to dinner with her HS friends and their husbands on Saturday and the night eventually devolved into talking about numb extremities and shoulder surgeries and cardiologist visits. At least I missed the second half of the Steelers game.

Also, Eddie Vedder turns 60 today.

Anyone show off their surgery scars? And while we are on topic, my feet go numb and tingly at times, and if I’m outside in the cold, they feel like ice blocks and take hours to return to normal. Mentioned this at my last physical, nurse practitioner was confused and left for 10 minutes. Came back with printed pages that didn’t feel relevant to me.

My hips have been killing me...we got a new couch 6-8 months ago less than a month in I noticed it was not comfortable but now the hip pain is almost constant anytime I'm sitting.

I think my wife was about to, her shoulder surgery was very effective. And one of the guys just wakes up most mornings and can't feel his feet/toes. And he's a really tall guy (about 1/2 a foot taller than me) so he's got various other back/neck issues related to that.

The problem is the waste at the end. With a normal tub, you can get in there and scrape things out at the end. With the tube, you pretty much have to cut open the tube and even then it can be fairly messy.
