I completely forgot I went to a Blue Jays game in Toronto. I don't remember who they played or anything about the game. College trip, probably went to the Hockey Hall of Fame then the game in the evening, but man, I just vaguely remember sitting down the first base line and the stadium was empty, so we moved to lowest tier behind home plate.

If you count college I’ve lived in five states and the ones I spent the 2nd and 3rd longest in aren’t on my list.

The most dehydrated I’ve ever felt outside of football practice in junior high was in Kentucky. That count??

Re: How many states (and countries) have you seen a sporting event in?
It was awesome. First experience was in a suite with free alcohol that my Dad let my 19-year-old self drink as much as I wanted. The next time was the next year when they won the Super Bowl and we were on the 45 yard line, 15 rows up, and the wind chill was like -15. Very cool experiences.

Re: How many states (and countries) have you seen a sporting event in?
This was before it was the event that it has become. They used to have it at the Paramount Theater in MSG. Tickets were free. I remember my youngest brother was visiting me in NYC and we went together. Even back then, Jets fans loudly booed every pick.

I went in ‘05 and it was in some convention center. It was the year Aaron Rodgers fell to the Packers.garyclark wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2025 11:22 amThis was before it was the event that it has become. Surely you were there for the Yankees game and happened upon the NFL draft?
Re: How many states (and countries) have you seen a sporting event in?
Nope. My buddy went the first few Texans drafts and convinced me to go since he had a companion pass on SWA and assured me it would be fun. And it actually was a lot of fun. Also cemented my hate for Chris Berman since I got to see how he acted off camera.Tom 1860 wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2025 12:28 pmSurely you were there for the Yankees game and happened upon the NFL draft?

WV - Pro wrestling (Rock N Roll Express!)
I don't travel specifically for sports, but I do like to go to baseball games when I am in MLB towns. Would do with hockey, too, just for kicks. Really annoyed I haven't mad a Rays or Lightning game given how much i've been in tampa in the past few years.

Oh, well not much, I guess. He dropped DH for XC around 40 and went all the fuck in. Our garage was basically a studio for prepping skis. We'd usually go somewhere in VT or ME for weekends, we'd pack lunch and go on ski journeys on Saturday and then he'd have his races on Sundays. He won a bunch of races in his age division. He was also a great hockey player, marathon runner, and sailor.
