Seton Hall sucks. But UConn's played down to their competition all season, and well, UConn's not particularly good either. McNeeley is gone after this season (top 10 pick in the NBA draft). Karaban was the 5th option on last year's championship team, and his game does not translate to being the alpha 8-) dog on the floor. He can make players around him better, but this team doesn't have good ball-handlers. Their wings haven't developed much in the two years they've been at UConn (Ross and Stewart). They thought Mahaney could come in and take a solid chunk of minutes at PG. Nope. He's completely outclassed at this level of D1 ball. Joey Calcaterra or a Cam Spencer he is most certainly not. Swing and a miss. Still, Hurley (ever the smug bastard he is) is owed a mulligan after he sent 7 players to the NBA the past two seasons (and won b2b national championships in the meantime).

Today's loss was freakin brutal.

At least much as losses to a team in each of the last two seasons who sucks (YWNM) lives in yours?

Illinois basketball hanging the retired jersey upside down of a guy who only played for them only two years and was accused of rape is peak Illinois.

This is a program whose greatest accomplishment is losing in the national semifinals to a team led by a guy who nailed Sarah Palin three months before.

So when do people at Kansas start looking at Bill Self and thinking maybe its time to move on? The year was supposed to be the "reset"...losing by 34 to BYU is a tough look.

My son was working the game; he said it was crazy.

Apparently when BYU was up 41, it was the farthest a Bill Self team has ever been behind in a game.

That's one quote from the OG Athletic article that some downstream aggregators ran with, ignoring the rest of the piece that is written as if he's definitely a one and done.

Though it's understandable how that happened.
“S—,” Cooper says, “I want to come back next year.”

The kid isn't staying. He would lose out on a full year of service. NIL will never reach the amount of money he is going to make in the League. His handlers will reel him in. No reason to suffer an injury while having fun playing against lesser competition. Plus his team from this year will pretty much all be gone next year. 5 grad transfer this year as well as Kon and Khaman are leaving. And there are always transfers that didn't get the playing time they thought they were getting.

Yeah, that's a great example of taking a comment out of context and blowing it up for clicks.

Now, he does already make a shit ton of money at Duke - not just NIL, but straight up national product endorsements - but he's gonna be in the NBA next year.

So when I said this, UK was in a game that lasted almost exactly 2.5 hours. No OT, but review upon review. Then, last game, it's over in under 2 hours. I am not a conspiracy theorist, but the marquee game of the night - Bama at MIzzou - started on time just after! If I didn't know better, I'd say the officials were in swallow mode.

Yeah...not a good season for them. Defensively, they are just lost at times. I was texting with my daughter yesterday, and she was saying that she hasn't been to very many games this year because of her academic load, but that maybe it's not that bad of a thing.

And...just a thought...I know it was Senior night and everything...but maybe giving the coaches son, who NEVER plays, the start and letting Saint Mary's start the game off with a 11-0 run might not have been the best idea.

Crazy game for the Zags last night against Santa Clara. Santa Clara started out on fire, going 10-10 from three, getting a 10 point lead, and getting 3 of Gonzaga's big men in foul trouble in the first half. But Khalif Battle hit a bunch of shots before halftime, and gave them a 2 point lead at halftime, and then they ran away with a 19 point win.

The real game changer was when, because of that foul trouble, they put in a freshman, 7 footer Ismailia Diagne from Senegal, who hadn't played a minute all season. He game in and scored 9 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and played some stiff defense.

Brutal way for MD to lose considering they didn’t need to leave any clock left at all.

Also the title of Rick Pitino's sex tape.

Dook looks really, really good. RJ Davis with the help of Coach Belichick, Julius Peppers, LT, and Drake Maye put up a good first half fight though.

Gonzaga wins an UGLY game last night to win the WCC conference tourney. And I do mean UGLY....both teams combined to go 1-31 on 3 pointers.

Pretty amazing stat for Mark Few...he's been the head coach for 26 years, and has made the Conference Tourney finals every year.

Hopefully this will bump them up out of the dreaded 8/9 -> #1 Seed matchup in the opening weekend of the tournament.
