Re: Mad Men
Jon Hamm's dick was a big (heh) deal all last week.

Re: Mad Men
Hamm was on the "You Made It Weird" podcast last week. Every time I hear him interviewed I think "What a normal guy".
Re: Mad Men
I've tried to get into Mad Men but it hasn't grabbed me the way that other shows and series that Mad Men aficionados enjoy. Is it too cerebral for me?
Re: Mad Men
I had to force myself through the first 4 episodes of the first season. Almost gave up on it then. When the 5th episode took off, I was hooked.

Re: Mad Men
It doesn't feel the same without trying to make sense of the last five minutes of The Killing.
Re: Mad Men
Here's a dumb question, but was it really the Super Bowl then? I thought it took a couple of years before they called it that. And did people care about the ads?
Re: Mad Men
We think it's 1969 (Sally being ~15 and she was born in 1954)

WTF Betty? (and Ginsberg's 'stache is awesome.)

Sorry about the dupe. If a mod wouldn't mind merging the threads.
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.

Stan's beard is better. That's some Grizzly Adams stuff working there....Rush2112 wrote:WTF Betty? (and Ginsberg's 'stache is awesome.)
And Betty is all kinds of twisted. That stuff about holding that girl's arms down while Henry rapes her? Who the fuck thinks like that?
And were we supposed to know who the Violin girl was? Did I miss something?
Did anyone else catch who was playing Jonesy the Doorman? It was Little Carmine Lupertazzi, from The Sopranos.
Re: Mad Men
She was new to the show--a friend of Sally's whose mom had just died. I guess the Francis clan took her in.
I was wondering all last year why they didn't have Betty choke on a Twinkie. I'm still wondering.

Re: Mad Men
You notice who was playing the doctor's wife?
Lisa Cardenelli.

Re: Mad Men
I think the file I downloaded cut off early. It ended during the scene with Peggy talking to the dude on the phone after he discloses that he heard her conversation with her boss.
That was at an hour and 26 minutes when you subtract all commercials. Did I miss anything after that? Some recaps mention some stuff I don't remember seeing.

Finally watched it last night, it was good to have the old friend back.
Until everything is less insane, I'm mixing weed with wine.
Re: Mad Men
Top shelf ep tonight. "You know, we're losing the war." There's your theme for the season.

Trudy's speech was excellent.

Don is such a dick. Give a man a camera, fuck his wife. Pete fucks a housewife on his block, Don one-ups, fucking his downstairs neighbor.
I had no idea New Orleans DA Jim Garrison appeared on Carson in Jan '68. Pueblo seizure, Tet, busy January. What a friggin' year.

Re: Mad Men
Wow. Great episode.
Re: Mad Men
Thought I was gonna get to the end of an episode w/o saying "Don Draper is Such a Dick!"
Close, but not quite.
Here is an article about the nightclub Joan and her sister went.

Re: Mad Men
What's the deal with Ted McGinley being married to girls on screen that like being with other girls? Weird. I damn near lost it when Don made this face:
And that poor little flake Meredith! More laugh out loud moments from her.
How's about that club scene too? I'm going to have to read that article, Howard. Thanks for the link.

Re: Mad Men
And we can't forget this all time great Pete Campbell moment.
I wonder if that was scripted, or if the actor just fell down during the shoot, and they decided to keep it in.
