Bluesky people seem to think this is a good move for the Rapids, fingers crossed here.
Re: MLS 2025
He is a solid young player at a relatively low salary with a chance at a transfer fee (please please DC did not give up all those $). Very few DC Academy players in the last 4 years have hung around. They have taken transfer to mid Euro leagues instead of staying in the MLS.phxgators wrote: Tue Feb 04, 2025 8:51 pm Bluesky people seem to think this is a good move for the Rapids, fingers crossed here.
Instead we get a profile on Conner Antley...5 years at the soccer powerhouse of Mercer, before working at Chick-Fil-A (working towards owner operator) , and working his way up from Amateur reserve team, to USL3, USL2, MLS and blowing out his knee. Great story but not sure that is the quality Benteke expects on the pitch with him (amazed Benteke extended his contract with DC). https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2 ... ticle_list

Solid player? Young? Low salary? Chance for a transfer? This is the Rapids Way. I think I saw DC United would get 15% of a future transfer fee.wlu_lax6 wrote: Wed Feb 05, 2025 8:40 amHe is a solid young player at a relatively low salary with a chance at a transfer fee (please please DC did not give up all those $). Re: MLS 2025
Looks like Timbers are gonna piss away the best player in the league not named Messi. Can't say it's not warranted with total muppet of a head coach and a twaffle of an owner. Maybe lean more into the Rapids this year.

PDX maybe there's a way I can share it with you? You'd use it way more than I would.
One milkshake to bring all the boys to the yard and in the darkness bind them.

San Diego FC knocking off the defending champs in their first game? Welcome to the league!
Re: MLS 2025
Seems like a really weird call by MLS: Lionel Messi's bodyguard banned from touchline at Inter Miami games
Like I get the whole "what if every player had their own security" slope, but this is Lionel Messi. He's the exception to all rules.
