Colorado was 3-17 in Big 12 conference play. They’ve now won their first two games in the conference tournament. Gotta love college basketball.

That court is an abomination and should be replaced before tomorrow’s games. I tried watching Baylor game and couldn’t. It messed with my eyes.

Dizzying. Some streaming services and cable channels offer up a warning to light / dizzying sensitive viewers about upcoming content. The Big 12 should look into that.

Makes less sense than Kansas being stuck in the Big 12. Then again, the ‘blue blood’ term has always been bullshit. So who freakin cares?

The dream is officially over for Piscataway, NJ’s best recruiting class ever. They battled back from down double digits in the second half to take the lead, but Bailey fouled out and Harper had the ball in his hands at the end of regulation and of the first OT and they couldn’t get the win.

Anyone watching the ACC tournament? I heard on local sports talk that Boheim and Alexander were making comments about each other/disagreeing in a weird way through most of the games. Just not getting along.

I don't care about quad wins when you go 6-12 in conference play. No team winning 33% of their conference games should ever make the tourney unless they win the conference tournament. Or maybe they have a superstar player who missed the majority of conference season and they end on a roll. Texas is not that team.

You fucking know it! Otega Oweh must have some hard feelings for Oklahoma. I don't know what the line is tonight an I don't bet on UK, but Bama is the call. Down 3 guards basically and depending on some not particularly highly touted freshman to play big minutes. But I imagine winning that kept UK on a good seed line no matter what happens tonight (and tomorrow after midnight probably)

Another reason why the Mountain time zone rules for sports...our friends from Cincinnati have a daughter that goes to Colorado State so have become CSU fans. Their semi final tonight doesn't tip until midnight EDT (if not later, depending on the game before)...that is brutal.

With the end of the Duke-UNC semifinal, we can now officially say that nobody in the ACC except Georgia Tech won a single game against the top 3. I believe the count is 58-2 in favor of the top 3 against the not top 3, including tourney games.

Yes, UNC might still get another shot…..

I read this morning at the Athletic that, in their respective 2023-24 seasons, Iowa's women's program generated more money through ticket sales than the men's program did.

That’s a move that would get the kid injured in certain situations. Yeah, Hurley responded poorly to fans that had been taunting him all game earlier this season, but there’s a reason players never do what that kid did. It’s a low-class, poor sportsmanship thing to do. We all know this.

A lot of people Hurley’s age would get their faces punched in if they did that to someone without security surrounding them like your pussy coach. He’s a classless blowhard and you advocating for a player getting hurt for responding to your coach’s classless bullshit isn’t surprising at all.

If MI keeps their turnovers under 12, they are an extremely tough out. They had a shitload of TOs today and still eked out a win.

Without an extra 10-15 easy possessions for the other team, they would walk most teams off the court.

Holy shit.

1) I wasn’t advocating for someone to be injured. You apparently need to up your reading comprehension game. Recognizing that’s the type of play that players will retaliate over is not a call to arms.

2) “Pussy coach”? What are you, 12?

It’s pretty funny how otherwise grown-ass men can turn completely juvenile over a sporting event. It’s as if some folks (at times, myself included) lose complete perspective.

Not sure what to say here except that I wasn’t defending Hurley so much as pointing out why players don’t show up opponents the way the kid from Creighton did. And no, that was not an example of me calling for a person’s head.

IMO it never should’ve come down to Gillespie reaching Queen and Reese that far down court. Then again, MD had non business being ahead despite losing the rebound battle by 31.

This MI team is the most bizarre, infuriating, yet very fun team to watch I've ever experienced. They have a lot of talent and a lot of gumption... but they also have a propensity to get worked on the OREB front and the TO issue is well covered at this point.

I don't think anyone really wants to deal with this current version, which doesn't ever quit. But they are also the kind of weirdo team that could easily.. EASILY... go out the first weekend.

I'll take it. 3-17 in the B1G last year to cutting down nets. Unreal.
