I've tried to tell people that the only criteria is "does it own the libs?". They will not budge, no matter how hypocritical an act is. Same here, not sure which is worse. I had a moment of hope, thinking that by taking on 20 of the biggest law firms in the world that they took a step too far and Big Law would smack them down, but Paul Weiss folded pretty quickly. According to an article in the NYTimes today, some rival firms started sniffing around and attempting to poach Paul Hastings partners. Particularly disturbing was Sullivan and Cromwell poaching and taking some clients with Federal cases, as their Co-Chair was just hired by Trump to represent him on his porn star hush money case appeal. Absolutely devasting to our democracy that the President is dictating what cases Big Law can take by threatening to remove their access to government security clearances and access to enter federal buildings, which includes court houses. We are so fucked!!! This is absolutely terrifying, but there is so much happening all at once, it's impossible to truly understand how awful all of this is. If we have fallen this far from Democracy in 2 months, is there any chance we have a fair election ever again? Who is going to stop an election rigging?

I was thinking it's going to lead to some sort of violent response --someone getting approached by masked plain clothed people who responds with a gun, which gives the orange man an excuse to declare martial law or another extreme.
