Strong second. We caught in the theater a couple weeks ago. Linklater makes a really good movie and Arjona and Powell have fantastic chemistry.

I've watched the first 3 episodes of the new season of the Tour De France doc. The crashes are horrifying.

We watched it last night, and really enjoyed it. Powell was great, and yes, the chemistry with Arjona was off the charts. Reminded me of Clooney and J.Lo in "Out Of Sight".

One minor quibble: Gary was pretty seriously jacked for a college philosophy professor.

Watched the latest bridgerton with the woman. I enjoyed it.

For some reason I found it even more annoying than prior seasons until the last couple of episodes.

And not nearly enough screen time for Kate.

Agreed but though they tied it up nicely enough it could be the last season if they desire.

Ohhhh...Alex and I watched a documentary last night called Tell Them You Love Me. Psychologist manipulates a family into thinking their severely disabled son/brother is a perfectly well, intelligent, independent person by guiding his arm to type things and record them on a keyboard (he's got CP). Then it gets soooo fucked up from there.

Another show premiering later this month that looks promising: The Decameron.
wiki wrote:an upcoming American medieval black comedy, television series created by Kathleen Jordan. It is inspired by the 14th century Italian short-story collection The Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio.

In 1348, as the Black Death ravages Florence, a number of nobles and their servants retreat to the countryside Villa Santa. As they try to wait out the plague in the hills of Tuscany with wine and sex, the group eventually must fight for their survival.

I thought this was really good.

Binged The Residence on the weekend. Pretty funny and quirky. Al Frankin plays a Senator! which made me sad.

Anyone watch Mo? It’s real and ridiculous and very funny. He’s got a little Seth Rogan to him, especially when he gets upset, and the show makes Houston look interesting.

I watched the first season and really enjoyed it. I’ll eventually get to season 2.

It’s on AppleTV but yeah, The Studio through three episodes is really good (and pretty fucking funny).

I've heard good things but yeah Apple... I'll pick that up again at some point. The only clip I've seen is the one shot of him driving up the hills and getting out of the car and the camera continuing to follow, and that was just cool.

Gareth Evans has a style. Tom Hardy has a style. If you like them then you’ll probably like Havoc.

I enjoyed it enough, but like Samwise I could have used more Olyphant.

Watching The Leopard (which you'll also see referenced in the Reading Thread), a period piece based in Sicily as Italy is being formed as a country. I'm mostly watching it because it's in Italian and allows me to practice the language a bit without trying, but it's very well-shot and interesting if you like period pieces.

More info here.

Quit it halfway through. I like Hardy and it was well-shot, but the writing was atrocious. The lines they gave Forrest Whittaker were borderline laughable.

If I wasn't already watching a mediocre Tom Hardy gangster series (Mobland), I'd probably have finished it.
