Very. But Adley doesn’t seem like a future superstar so what do you do? He’s another Matt Wieters at this point.

I finally just had my first game at Wrigley and… it’s heaven on earth.

That’s so great. I haven’t been there in six years. Very jealous.

I’ve only been there once, but it was a wonderful experience.

The White Sox are improving, they're 7-21. The Rockies are 4-23!

The White Sox won more games than the Blue Jays this week. The Blue Jays, 5th highest payroll in the league, are a tire fire.

Jose Altuve asked manager Joe Espada to move him out of the leadoff spot and into the second hole for the Houston Astros. The reason? He wanted more time to get to the dugout from left field.

Altuve is playing left for the first time in his career after spending his first 14 MLB seasons at second base. "I just need like 10 more seconds," he said.

Makes you wonder how Rickey was able to overcome “playing left field” to be the greatest leadoff hitter ever.

Probably because he didn’t spend his first 12 seasons playing 2B?

Duh. He's more than 10 seconds faster than altuve running in from OF.

Rickey also had the advantage because the A's were among the minority of teams that had their home dugout on the third base line.

Make that eighth.

ETA: except somehow the Nats have an even worse pen. At least tonight.

Poor Rockies. It’s still April, and they could go on a 20-game win streak, and they’d still be below .500.

They are the first National League team to start 4-24 (going into tonight).

The National League was founded in 1876 by the way. During Ulysses Grant’s second term.

Man, Trout is hurt again. It’s almost easy to forget how great he was given how long it’s been since he was truly healthy. Hasn’t reached 500 PAs in a season since before Covid was a thing.

(I will personally stab any Puckett voter who doesn’t vote for Trout first ballot.)
