The Oatmeal has a good one on Christopher Columbus that has the internets buzzing a bit: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/columbus_day" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But I come primarily to post this from xkcd:
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.

Oh yeah…
Got the first two Deluxe editions of ExMachina. Such a great comic, I long for Saturday to come so I can go buy the next ones. Vaughan is now guilty for 3 of my fav comics ever (Y and Saga being the other two).

When I was roaming around Brussels I walked into a comic book store and looked around. Outside of the typical Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead graphic novels that caught my attention, one called Blacksad did as well. I can totally get down with something like this:

This is so awesome. The great Bill Watterson, creator of Calvin and Hobbes, came out of retirement to draw three strips of Pearls Before Swine. The very interesting story of how it came to pass can be found, here.
Here are the three strips. And, God as my witness, when I saw them, I thought that Pastis (the author of PBS) was imitating the style of CaH.

Most likely, the local library has a few of the collections on the shelf. (My daughter and I bond by checking out our favorite strips' comic collections from the library and reading them together.)

Li...brary?
Is that a place on the internet?
Heh. You don't have kids, yet. When you do, I bet you re-acquaint yourself with those places.

Pearls Before Swine is the best comic out there today, IMO. If you can, get the treasuries from the library. Pastis writes notes and stories about some of the strips in the treasuries, most of which are pretty cool.
