It's been my go-to coffee creamer lately. Though I'm careful to use very little given the caloric content of egg nog.Rush2112 wrote:Tastes like liquid thin mint. I'm ready for some pumpkin egg nog this weekend. Trying to cut back on my drinking during the week, but may have to slip-up tonight.

Care to audit the Alton Brown version ...
4 egg yolks
1/3 cup sugar, plus 1 tablespoon
1 pint whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
3 ounces bourbon
1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
4 egg whites (whisked in at end)
(It feels light on the bourbon, right?)

That seems way light on the bourbon. I'm not a huge fan of eggnog, but as long you get the right balance it's a pretty good drink. I don't know anyone who drinks it outside of the Thanksgiving to Christmas window. Do they even sell it year round? As for store bought eggnogs UDF, United Dairy Farmers, is far superior to any other I've tried. My brother brings some down from Cincinnati for the past few years.mister d wrote:Care to audit the Alton Brown version ...

Nothing better than a warm eggnog and bourbon after mowing the lawn on a hot, humid day.

Hey AB...I run the Competitive Benchmarking program at my firm so basically I have contacts at all of the other major mutual fund companies, and we reach out and share policies, procedures, best practices, etc. Anyway, someone asked me to do one on Jeans Days. The questions were as follows...
So Oppenheimer not only allows jeans every day, but their special incentive days are Hawaiian Shirt Fridays.1. Do you employ Jeans Days?
Yes
2. What is the criteria?
It’s often used as a reward for meeting quality goals or getting through particularly busy times such as the end of tax season. We also use it as an incentive to raise money for selected charities.
3. Do you find it effective in that it enhances associate satisfaction/engagement?
Yes
4. If no, why?
N/A

Remember the story a couple of years ago about the woman in Spain who tried to restore a centuries old painting of Jesus in her local church?
And this was the result...

Well, the Lord works in strange ways. As this painting is seemingly the only good thing to happen to that town recently.
Crazy story.

Wouldn't the story of a crazed dictator ordering hacking attacks and possible terror actions in retaliation for an unflattering Hollywood movie make a better Hollywood movie than a Seth Rogan/James Franco comedy about a plot to assassinate a crazed dictator?

Between the Sony/North Korea thing and this new Cuba thing, Communism is having the Best. Week. Ever!
Then there's the entire Sony dropping to its knees and capitulating to hackers and not promoting a movie with lots of major movie theater companies following suit and not showing it one released charade, I'm getting a pretty heavy chuckle out of all of that silliness. Sony is a bunch of pussies. With pathetic internet security and encryption.
