An earlier report was that a lady who lives in a house on Franklin called the cops, because she saw her shed door ajar. That she also saw bloody clothes in the shed, blood on the floor of the shed. Cops responded.

Google Earth shows a boat in the back yard of the house at 67 Franklin.

The report that he is in the boat, alive, surrounded by cops, refusing to come out, is propagating.
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.

They are sending a robot in, to surveill for explosives.

Perhaps also to negotiate,diplomatically:

The one thing we can count on, perhaps the only thing, is that some dude's boat is going to get seriously fucked up over this.

Another report (on WBZ just now) says it was thermal imaging from a helicopter that, following the tip, is how law enforcement determined someone was in the getaway boat.

Just got back inside and am watching this unfold on TV.

The amount of cops in that one area is a jarring scene.

Weird. Fox local is saying they see lots of flashes and hear explosions... Not sure what's going on.

Fox providing best coverage. Bill O'Reilly just took the chair.

I don't need to know that badly.

this is a largely commercialized area. within a mile of where they had the firefight last night.

the toyota of watertown on arsenal is where i take my truck. there's also a lexus dealer a little closer to the scene. i imagine those parking lots would provide pretty good cover on the run for him to then duck back onto a side road like school street and walnut.

Stay safe (obvi), but local information is pretty damn interesting.

Anyone else see irony in the fact that this situation will end on a boat, on dry land in a backyard, in a city called Watertown?

Talk about beating the odds.

So, I guess it's time for the news to follow the body count in the Texas explosion.

On top of his wound(s) and blood loss from the pre-dawn shootout, there is a report there was a fire on the boat before he was arrested.

Conspiracy theorists are going to eat this type of stuff up:
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had passed an apparently normal day at the school Wednesday, according to a UMass official, working out at the gym, then sleeping in his single-unit room at the Pine Dale Hall dorm that night, while law enforcement officials were frantically scanning photos and video trying to identify him and his brother.

School officials know he was there Wednesday because of card swipes, but it was not clear if he had been there earlier. He was described as good, typical student who played intramural soccer.

A student, who didn’t want to be identified, said she saw Dzhokhar Tsarnaev at a party Wednesday night that was attended by some of his friends with whom he played intramural soccer.

“He was just relaxed,” she said.
