Fogle intends to plead guilty to the charges and has admitted to participating in a scheme to exploit children, Josh Minkler, the federal prosecutor for Indiana’s Southern District, said in a press conference on Wednesday.

He faces between 5 and 12 years in prison.

The Huffington Post obtained documents detailing the allegations and charges against Fogle.

The documents detail Fogle meeting an underage girl at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. In November 2012, he allegedly paid a 17-year-old girl to commit sexual acts and texted her the next day offering to pay her if she could find him another underage girl. He allegedly told her that the younger the girl, the better.

The prosecutors claim that Fogle "repeatedly made travel plans in order to have his business trips coincide with the pursuit of sexual acts."

The documents also allege that Russell Taylor, the former executive director of Fogle's foundation, provided Fogle with pornography produced by others that involved children as young as six. Taylor also secretly filmed kids using "multiple hidden cameras concealed in clock radios," according to the documents.

In a statement released by her attorney Wednesday, Fogle's wife, Katie, said she is in the process of seeking a "dissolution of the marriage."

There's a lot of backlash against the Post's headline but I just can't get upset over the idea of a child predator getting preyed on in prison. I'm sure he'll get solitary or whatever, but this is the one eye-for-an-eye scenario I feel justified rooting for.

I don't think the backlash against the Post has anything to do with Jared specifically, but is more a reaction to our society's casual (and at times joking) acceptance of prison rape. The frequency of prison rape is a serious human rights issue that is often just treated as an accepted part of our criminal justice system.
