There's always going to be that nonsense. You can still make everything more reasonable for the vast majority of us that just want to watch a game without 5 minute breaks to figure out on out of bounds call.

COYG!!

I have a good friend who is a UH alum and has been following Arsenal since the 90s. He could be having a very bad week after today.

I'd be happy enough if I just knew the eventual winner wasn't coming from this match.

3-0 is going to be tough to overcome, Madrid magic and all.

I went into this with extremely low expectations. It'd be the most Arsenal thing ever to give me false hope before crushing my dreams and spirit.

For the first time in my brief soccer-watching life, I noticed something before the announcers on that VAR review where Mbappe was offside on that penalty. Feels good man.

Is this the thread for the Europa League?

Will Amorim get sacked before Big Ange?

Real roller coaster for that guy. Pep's future replacement to settling for United to maybe not lasting a year there.

The Europa League is destined to end up being Spurs vs ManU. It'll be a "loser leaves town" match for Ange and Amorim.

Independent of that crazy win for ManU, Amorim wasn't going anywhere until AT LEAST November-December. They have fully invested in him, and believe in his system. It will likely take them YEARS to fully recycle the overpriced players they've bought in recent years and bring in new ones fit for him.

Also, Sir Jim has made a total mess of his front office management since taking over (see Ashworth, Dan - the most pricey gardener of all time). So Amorim will get more time than normal, because it delays the heat on the owner. Who has been utter crap.

Now, if the squad is an absolute mess in the beginning of next year, I can see Amorim getting sacked in the holiday season. But I think they'll be solid enough to prevent that.

And, of course, if they win this trophy, it buys him even more goodwill.

I'm rooting for the town from the Arctic Circle.

But I'd have a hard time picking who to root for in a ManU-Spurs final. It's Ange arrogance versus ManU entitlement.

Spurs used some different tactics than the usual AngeBall today. They also had some close to competent defending, but also a choice backend for the first time since like December.

Incredible. And to have Maguire finish it off is just extra incredible.

So giving up 2 in the first 17 minutes represents an improvement?

Restart the "Arsenal needed to sign a striker!" talk...

Although, the save by Donnarumma against Trossard was a thing of beauty.

Not sure the "Arsenal need to sign a striker" talk has died down since Van Persie left.

It subsided a bit after they knocked out Real Madrid.

Thuram's took my breath away.

And Yamal's was a masterclass. L'Enfant Terrible!

What a match!
