It is very slow to build (I'm following about 50 accounts right now, treating it much like my twitter account and not following tons of accounts) and I will say that one big plus is that when someone "undesirable" opens up shop, there is a widespread call to block them immediately. They lose engagement and split, keeping it "cleaner".

It is very slow, though, with very little happening (admittedly, a result of my choices on who I follow).
