He did the kit design for Puma. The font on the back is his handwriting.

I knew I'd posted about them before...from the "Uniforms..." thread:Rex wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 4:20 pm please tell me the City uniforms are some dying kid's wish, because otherwise they should be banned.
Man City is debuting their new kits, designed by Noel Gallagher..."Definitely City".
Man City's fourth kit inspired by classic Oasis album cover
Not content with having just three kits for the 2024-25 season, Premier League champions Manchester City have laid on a fourth jersey which just so happens to have been designed in collaboration with one of the club's most ardent celebrity fans.
The special edition "Definitely City" shirt was co-created by Noel Gallagher to mark the 30th anniversary of his band's seminal debut album, "Definitely Maybe," and is specifically inspired by the album's cover art.
Released in 1994, the "Definitely Maybe" cover featured the original Oasis lineup lounging around at then-guitarist Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs' house in Manchester.

The future step-son-in-law, who now works at Puma, showed me this stuff about a month ago. I told him that it was too bad I'm not a City supporter.
Re: Champions League 2024-25 (it goes to 36!)
I kinda liked the color scheme but the collar and font suck.
Re: Champions League 2024-25 (it goes to 36!)
I think this would have made a good font and color palette

Happy for Man City advancing, let them keep a congested Champions League playoff schedule to tire their old legs for the league. And how about the other 3 EPL teams finishing in the top 8? Well done, Villa.

How about Pepi getting the winner today to advance PSV. Several articles said with him getting the start, he had to take advantage of it.

For those not following, he is tied for the Eredivisie in goals scored as a guy coming off the bench. PSVs captain and top striker is ahead of him in a system that the manager only plays with one striker.

1) More impressive than the goal was Pepi's chest pass to set up the goal.
2) I'm not really sure he got a touch on that ball for the goal, but his run was enough to drag the keeper's attention away at just the right time. Maybe his trailing foot grazed the ball?

Rolled through my Yanks Abroad review of the UCL games yesterday:
We talked about Pulisic and Pepe scoring.
Musah with two really dumb yellow cards, especially the second one.
Reyna came on in the second and had a brilliant backheel to set up their final goal.
Weah and McKennie part on an overall shitty effort by Juve.

Should also add that Trusty didn't have Carter-Vickers in the middle as Celtic got run by Villa. That secured a final 16 slot for AV and I don't think it made a huge difference for Celtic. I don't know if CV was hurt, but the duo got a lot of praise after Celtic's win last week that secured their playoff slot.

Unfortunately, the way Juve is going in Serie A, that team might get blown up in the off sesason.
But, yeah, he is a bright spot.

I guess expectations are high for Juve in Serie A, but they only have one loss in 22 matches! OTOH, they have 13 ties and only 8 wins. Thats crazy.Nonlinear FC wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2025 4:17 pm Unfortunately, the way Juve is going in Serie A, that team might get blown up in the off sesason.

Juventus is roughly equivalent to the Yankees. Being outside of a Champions League spot and 16 points behind the Serie A leaders is not acceptable for them.

Yeah, I totally get that. Just pointing out how crazy it is for them to have one loss in 22 games and be in 5th place, 16 points backNonlinear FC wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 10:14 am Juventus is roughly equivalent to the Yankees.
