Looks like Blackpool are having some problems selling season tickets this year. I don't know, maybe suing your fans and signing crap players and managers isn't a good long-term business strategy:

Oysten just looks like a comic book villain. The sunglasses, hat, long hair, and bright jacket are something straight from a Warren Ellis.

Jeebus, that is horrific. And, the first comment following the story defends sexual relationships with children!

Today's a big day for Blackpool in the courtroom.

First off, a libel lawsuit filed by the Oystons against Back Henry Street, a Blackpool FC fan forum, was thrown out of court today. The Oystons were ordered to pay all court costs.

And more importantly, the courts today are hearing a lawsuit from Valeri Belokon, a minority owner who's been fighting with the Oystons pretty much ever since he bought a chunk of the club. Belokon's cash infusion allowed the team to sign Charlie Adam and build the south stand, but he claims he never got his share of the EPL parachute payments.

1 point out of the promotion playoffs, 2 points out of 5th place, and GD of 20 is better than 3 of 4 playoff teams...tied with the other).

and with 8 to play only 2 are in the top 1/2 (Doncaster and Luton Town) of the table. Two are in the middle (13th and 16th) and the Last 4 are in the way bottom

Back outside of the playoffs by a point. This is a tight part of the table.

I also like how the Brits talk about the finances. "Made a loss of 1.8M pounds".

1-0 win today puts the pool in 7th...that is the last promotion playoff spot. 8th is tied on points but has 18 GD to make up. Pool 4 points back of 4th (Lutton), and 2 points back of 5th, 1 point back of 6th. Only Lutton Town have a better GD. OF course 14 points back of 3rd and the automatic promotion slot.

3 to play
Cheltenham (21st place)--47 points
Notts County (15th place) -- 53 points
Orient (24th place..dead last)--36 points

So Pool take a 1-0 defeat making the last game an important one. But that is okay they get Orient. Orient played the last 5+3 of the game in an empty stadium this week. 750 fans invaded the pitch. The announcer said the game was abandoned, everyone left..then they finished the game.

Pool going to let Orient fans lead the protest this week.

Pool lose their youth boss to Fleetwood. The Blackpool youth are pretty good and have picked up a trophy and a league title this year.

Went up 1-0, then down 2-1, now up 3-2 in the 70th minute. Pool is the home team for leg 1, so the 1 goal lead does not feel great with 2 away goals against.

Ollie Watkins puts Exeter up 1-0 over Carlisle (first leg was 3-3).

Pool and Luton still knotted at 0 10 minutes in.

Sounds like Blackpool are hacking the snot out of the Haters.

Pool went up 1-0 in the 21st minute
BBC wrote:Perfect counter-attacking goal. And what a critical goal this could be.

The ball is played up to Mark Cullen, who runs in the right-hand channel to the edge of the area and manages to pick out Nathan Delfouneso in the middle, free as a bird to calmly slot home.

Luton had been so dominant but could not find a way through and don't they wish they had found the net now?

Blackpool have one foot on Wembley Way.
But in the 36 Luton got 1 back.
BBC wrote:Luton are back into the match and it's not a good few minutes if you're Kelvin Mellor.

From the free-kick that he gave away, the ball breaks to Alan Sheehan, who fires left-footed at goal from near the penalty spot and it is diverted into the goal by the Blackpool defender.

Sheehan's striker looked to be going wide of the mark, so it looks like it'll go down as Mellor's own goal.

We have a one-goal match again.

Oh and Luton tie up the overall score just before halftime
BBC wrote:You can't say it's not been coming, and it's Scott Cuthbert who just missed that big chance moments ago making amends.

Alan Sheehan whips in the free-kick to the back post and Cuthbert is totally unmarked to head home to send Kenilworth Road mad.

Eight goals in this tie so far. I love the play-offs.

He looks disgusted with himself but what a game we have on our hands.
