Hey, I didn't even realize it was back.

Here's what happened.

I was traveling so I didn't realize the site was down until I got an email from sabo early Monday morning. I logged into my A Small Orange Account (after trying and failing to get into the site's admin page) and saw a support ticket created by ASO. I assume the notification for that only went to jpops, not me.

The issue is that the site had a ton of pages that had been compromised and apparently were being used to send spam. The pages were nearly all old Swamp pages from the blog/Wordpress days. There were also a few pages from phpbb.

The trick is, they wanted me to delete or clean these files, but they had removed access for me to log in. They wanted a single IP address for the computer of the person (me) who would do the cleaning. I sent that pretty quickly and waited for a reply. Nothing. They didn't do anything yesterday.

Today, I decided to try the live chat, even though it was very early in the US. That worked. It still took three separate chat sessions to get me access (the first guy failed completely) and get all of the files cleaned up.

I think all of the files that were in phpbb were actually old files that the site no longer (or never did) uses. If you see any weird site behaviors or things that don't work, let me know.

Fuck jpops, I knew it was his fucking fault.

Oh, and strong fucking work, Dave. Many thanks.

BTW, the pages that had been compromised had last modified timestamps of 2014. It's possible they've been that way for a while. It's probably why they shut us down last time. Back then, they didn't give us any list of problem files though. I'm hoping it's an old breach that isn't an issue now that we pretty much only host this (nearly) up-to-date version of phpbb.

I've been getting that for days - but only when it's a new post, not when I quote.

This is what it says on the page I get sent to, if that helps:

This page isn’t working

www.sportsfrog.net is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

But the post gets added successfully.

I don't get a warning but get a blank page. When I refresh, it threatens to double-post my successful post.
