Re: Lit
This thread plus two hours to marinate plus flip flops plus the neighbor's uneven backyard plus soccer plus some dude that was good enough to bring out my competitive side wasn't a great combination. Though I made it through safely, and then sprained my foot walking down the stairs while leaving.
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.

Serious consumption. Big glass of water, a couple ibuprofen/aspirin/acetemenophin, and a spoonful of antigas/antacid, before bed tonight!Rush2112 wrote:and 'cause this is up to the top I'll post.

Damn, I forgot all about this thread.
I've been regularly getting lit on percosets, magic hat, and pot.
Tonight it'll be more percs, more pot, and some Chocolate Double Stout.

Percs go so much better with scotch or red wine. You are so uncouth.ZMan wrote:Damn, I forgot all about this thread.

Re: Lit
Cautionary tale regarding the above. I may quit drinking for a few days, now... So, I pounded bourbon on my layover. Poured myself into my seat when we finally took off. Slept most of the way to San Francisco. Felt fine upon arrival, though still tired, since it was midnight Pacific time and 3:00 am on my body clock (and I had risen at 6:00 am eastern that morning). So, I picked up my car at the lot and drove almost all the way home from the airport, when I saw the red lights flashing behind me. Pulled over. I was confused because I was driving fine and felt pretty good, albeit very tired. Cop told me I had a tail light that was out (BS made up reason to pull me over, I believe). He said he smelled alcohol and made me do the stupid human tricks, which I did poorly, mostly because of fatigue. But I won't lie - I was freaking out a bit. I can't have a DUI, no way no how. It would fuck up my life, big-time. Anyhow, after my poorly coordinated attempts to do the tests, I blew a .05 in the breathalyzer, which surprised the cops, but didn't really surprise me - I felt sober enough, but was concerned all the same. He said he was surprised I was below the legal threshold, shook my hand, smiled and told me to get my ass to bed. WHEW!sancarlos wrote:The bad: delayed 2 hours on layover at the Atlanta airport.

Re: Lit
Spent the last 2 days in this realm. I'm good for a few weeks. For Thanksgiving my old man brought some Apple Pie Moonshine, and I gotta say, it was pretty damned good. Mix that with a bottle of Las Rocas Garnache and whatever else wine was brought, good and toasted. Last night we checked out a new Tiki Bar that opened up in town. An interesting mix between a sleek lounge and a Tiki Bar. The place featured all sorts of fruity rum concoctions and had Captail Lawrence IPA on tap. Really good IPA, but I got into the spirit with a Mai Tai that felt like it could catch fire, a fogcutter (brandy, rum, gin and Sherry) and then the wife and I shared a Scorpion Bowl for shits and giggles. I felt like I needed an insulin shot, and the bartender was very heavy handed in pouring the booze. Glad I decided to have my father pick us up, cause I couldn't even walk home by the end of all that.

I recommend throwing it and vanilla ice cream (unless you can find apple pie ice cream) for milkshakes. The Sybian wrote:Spent the last 2 days in this realm. I'm good for a few weeks. For Thanksgiving my old man brought some Apple Pie Moonshine, and I gotta say, it was pretty damned good.

Tiki bars are awesome. Went to one in Milwaukee this spring and had a blast. Only downside is the drinks tend to be expensive ($8-$10 average), and they go down super easy. The Sybian wrote:Spent the last 2 days in this realm. I'm good for a few weeks. Yes, yes and yes. Only $8-$10 drinks seem completely reasonable. Factor in the extreme amount of booze the owner/bartender poured, and it was quite a deal.
