I hope their first article after the acquisition is an article in Spanish detailing their name change to La Cebolla.

Come the fuck on already. Have a fucking sense of humor. It wasn't the best Onion piece ever by far, but they did this one just a week ago.

Just more pro-Hillary propaganda from The Onion.

Ha! As Homer would say, "It's funny because it's true." Yes that was me for much of this week. But, today I'm much better. The wife was real um helpful.

But, on a serious note, being unemployed sucks and does affect my mood sometimes - even though the severance was great and I don't have financial pressure.

I know the feeling, it can suck.

My best advice is to get to the gym regularly and stay clean shaven.

Does someone who eats at McDonalds have the discriminating taste to care about the difference between a fresh or frozen burger? I just can't see McDonalds moving to fresh beef cutting into the business of places like Five Guys and Smash Burger. Now that I think about it, I dont trust McDonalds employees handling fresh beef or cooking it properly. There would have to be an increase in food contamination and waste. I'd think the #1 reason people choose McD's over other burger joints is price, and this is going to increase costs. They'd probably have to pay employees more to actually cook rather than reheat, too.

The term "beef" is to be taken very loosely.

I worked at McDonalds for a minute in my teens and I expect it's just as hard/long to cook frozen beef as fresh. It's not like they're microwaving -- it gets cooked on a grill anyway.

The cost concern is legitimate, but most people would probably pay a little extra for fresh beef since they obviously already do. The contamination concern is probably overblown as there are strict handling requirements even for frozen. Fresh beef has to be stored at a different temp (between 32 and 40F), but that's about it. Probably not enough to be too concerning (though one additional expense for the restaurants).

Unless you're dollar menuing it, aren't most of their burgers fairly close in price to a Five Guys anyway?

Nah, I think their most expensive is probably still a couple bucks shy of Five Guys. But I wouldn't swear to my life on that. I very seldom eat at either these days.

Maybe my perception of a McDonald's kitchen is worse than reality. I hear raising the minimum wage will increase the average McD's order by 7 cents, which will drive away all their business and destroy society as we know it, so any cost increase is a failure. Does freezing beef kill the dangerous bacteria?

A Lebanon man charged with arson in a fire that destroyed the First Baptist Church told police he set the fire because he was angry at God for making him a pedophile.
