Re: Checkmate, Bitches! The Chess and other Board Games Thread

As someone who could have had ~1000000 Rhystic Studies back in the day, I just hate the play pattern so want it gone. Don't think Jeweled Lotus should be ubiquitous but some decks having TWO whole artifact fast mana probably isn't the end of the world.

I feel for the people where the price matters ...

Not exactly a board game, but Balatro comes to iOS 9/26. It's like magical poker, but really sweet.

Games I've liked recently: Distilled - Make alcohol, not a ton of player interaction, but combines sweet mechanics and good themes.

I really want to like that site, and have supported it before. I flew down to San Diego to buy a 911 because at the time they were ~5-10k cheaper in Southern CA than in WA. I wouldn't go that far for a normal car.

Did you purchase it beforehand or just show up for a test drive pretending to be nonchalant like you hadn’t just flown 1k miles?

There are other more deserving players than CC to make the olympic team. As a guard at a minimum Arike Ogunbowale over Ariel Atkins.

Car brokers make a lot of sense when you want to buy old, very fancy cars, that generally speaking only rich white people know who actually has them. Vetting the history of those cars is orders of magnitude more important.

For regular cars...I don't get it. I HATE haggling but now that car prices ...

What’s your evidence on this?

My wife drives a 2010 Hybrid Ford Escape that we bought new. I drive a 2015 Hybrid Ford Fusion that I got new. No significant issues with either vehicle.

If you replace cars reasonably often, have a place to charge, and won't ever really stress the range then an electric car is fine. My sister has a Tesla in Hawaii with a house to charge it at and garage to keep it in, that seems perfectly fine.

My issue is that most people usually keep their cars ...
