Kinda eerie. I was checking out some of the hourly observations on various Panhandle Weather Service locations. The site for Panama City stopped reporting at about 11am yesterday. They still have a big warning about what Michael is “forecast” to do.

And my point is why is it bad to play realpolitik with this one Senate seat for this one vote? If the 51 Republicans all vote to confirm, then Manchin's vote is meaningless anyway. So if he makes it 52-48, but it increases his chance of winning his Senate seat from 60 percent to even only 65 percen...
