It really was a stroke of genius to cast a real game show host. They blew a chance to do a remake with Alex Trebek.

We were debating that. My wife mentioned one of the buildings near the Sony lot for the base and a matte painting above the "pyramid". The top half did look like Nakatomi (she worked there for a few years).

Just remembered that Arnold's love interest in Total Recall was also Latina and then remembered he cheated on his wife with the Latina maid and it all kind of makes sense.
