I treated this one like the Broncos-Seahawks Super Bowl and won all my bets (well, most). Wasn't confident in them at all so I didn't tell anybody. oh well

Not the way I thought I'd cover the Over... Took the Birds with 1.5 and the 48.5 over and that paid off.

My parlay with Mahomes involved shit the bed, but I'll take a net positive and the Chefs losing all day.

I did certainly think it would be more KC in the 2nd half. I was nervous at 40-6 that there would be no more scores.

Also had Under 25.5 in the first half, and not the way I thought that would hit.

First SB where I truly didn't know the songs. Objectively, it was... fine. But if you are being really honest, none of those songs had a hook or a beat or really anything that would get you up and moving.

I was all set to triple my money until that garbage final TD. I had live bet Eagles winning margin 25-30 and had a parlay with Hurts most passing yards. F@#&! Kenny Pickett couldn't get one first down!? Only thing I hit was Hurts MVP.

My son is into Kendrick, so he’s been making me listen (and explaining the meaning of every lyric) for a few years. Not something I listen to on my own, but I like most of his stuff. Not really a “get you up and moving” performer, but some catchy songs and deeper poetic lyrics than most. Probably not a good choice for a halftime show, where people want catchy pop tunes that are huge hits.

My daughter read about the bigger message the show was trying to convey about America. I’m sure there was something there, but I didn’t get it at all. I think Kendrick’s mic was too low, because I could barely hear him.

Kendrick Lamar is not a "catchy" rapper, which is what a lot of people say they want, until they actually hear it.

He played mostly new songs and I don't like them as much as his older stuff but I was never the biggest fan to begin with.

That was my thing. I'm sure he was making some great points but it needed captions. Couldn't decipher/hear any of the lyrics.

I don't care about the HT show, in general, so whatever. Just thought it was an odd choice for that type of environment.

My son has been excited since Kendrick was announced, predicting what songs he’d play, what guests would sing with him etc… I guess they kept teasing the one song he wanted and never played it. He was disappointed all around. And my daughter was excited for SZA, and was very disappointed.

Some discussion at work over the last couple days, including some scuttlebutt that the contract is up with the current production company. I would not be surprised, should that prove the case, that in the "return to the old climate", the league decides that the last five years count as a "make-good" for the previous decades and they move on to a different company.

When the performer is not an "entertainer", you're starting off with one hand tied behind your back because the kinetic energy has to come from other places and not your centerpiece. The Serena Williams part was a great cameo, but I didn't realize it was her live. That's not exactly how you use a "surprise guest" to get a reaction. He's terrific, but it's extremely difficult to get that to transfer to a giant performance like that. The "spectacle" part of the show is kind of over, at least for now.

What will be remembered in five years is "he did the song we all wanted him to do" and Serena's surprise spot. The rest, even though it was an excellent performance, will just kind of disappear.

Sounded like most of the crowd knew that A-minor line though.

My dad was a huge Eagles fan and he passed on Jan. 8th and we got to eat some White House subs and watch them beat the Cowboys in December right after Xmas when he decided he was done with dialysis and life in the nursing home. I wish he had been improving cause I would have watched that game with last night, but I knew he was making the choice he needed to make.

When they won last night, I didn’t go nuts. When someone asked way, I said I was thinking about my Dad. I miss him something terrible. Go Birds.
That was kinda how I felt after the Baylor win the first championship after he passed. Big hugs to you, man!

Aw man, I'm sorry to hear this. And I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier at the bottom of Page 3.

My dad was at the 1960 title game in Franklin Field, and then was a season ticket holder for the next 20 years, went to the 1980 NFCCG vs. Dallas, and then gave the tickets up so he can watch his sons play sports on Sundays. Before the game I went to his remembrance card I have on my fridge and told him that I might need his help tonight. After that Smitty TD I went back over and said, "Take the rest of the night off, Dad. I think we got this."

I love this. Sacrifice and devotion. That’s what dads (and moms) pass on.
