Re: Trump Admin Meltdown Thread Part V - All Hail King Donald, First of his name

That is just amazing. Fucking perfect encapsulation of his presidency. Enjoying thinking about those staffers totally freaking out, but not deciding to, you know, contact the secret service to politely ask him to check his goddamn phone because they didn’t want to upset the man baby. Seriously, I’m ...

this is a good look at how Missouri's laws -- and their street potentially being considered "private" -- play into the stupidity https://www.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/couple-points-guns-at-protesters-marching-to-st-louis-mayor-s-home-to-demand-resignation/article_9edc57ed-c307-583f-9...

I struggled with my driver all last year, and then it got broke while traveling in feb. I hadn’t replaced the shaft so have been going 3wd off the tee for months. Finally fixed that baby two weeks ago and it’s made a huge difference. Also finally figured out that I was significantly over swinging. I...

BiL and I both got memberships at the local muni, which is a pretty fine course. We have locked in the 8am tee time for Sat/Sun for the rest of the year, so I’ve been playing ~2.5x’s/wk for the last month and my game has really come around. In the 70’s now with some regularity for the first time sin...

Just noting that Scalia died in Feb if an election year. It’s June, almost July. I know, MM has no decency or consistency, but I honestly am not convinced that they’d be able to rush a nomination through AND get the requisite votes at this point. Maybe I’m naive, but I don’t think Mitt would go out ...

Is Harry Maguire really a top CB? Like my frame of reference would be VVD or Laporte; is Maguire really at/near that tier but a different style, or is he a guy who got a deal like them and in three years it'll be acknowledge they badly overpaid? I think he's been very good for most of the season, b...

I was at Costco this morning and didn't put my mask on when getting gas before going in the store. When the attendant came over to wipe down the keypad at the pump I was using, I was really embarrassed and turned away from him, covering my mouth and nose as best I could with the back of my hand and...

It’s getting bad here. Like really bad. Franklin county, about 25 miles south of me and where ~10-15% of our work force at the plant lives, has over 750 positive cases with a population of only 31k. That’s 1 in 40 people, which makes it one of (if not the*) hottest counties in the country. Our acti...

The upgrade in Floyd's charge and the aiding-and-abetting charge against the other three are a political move designed to placate the protestors. Which is fine by me for now. But I would really be surprised if those charges went all the way to trial. Is there possibly a different standard for this ...

My corner of Alabama is basically acting like it’s back to normal. You have about half the people beings extra cautious and the other half pretending that everything is fine. I have a bad feeling that it’s going to be an absolute mess in about three weeks.

One of my all time favourite bands. He was just about the best rock keyboardist ever.

I didn’t know he wrote Golden Brown which is one of the greatest songs of that decade.
